CHAPTER 4 SAYING GOODBYE

DANIEL POV

I felt completely numb, when I picked the children up from school, I had no choice but to tell them what happened to their father, me Lyle and Lance's older brother, they cried and screamed calling me a liar, I just held onto them as they fought but when they eventually stopped that was when the water works began.

I told the school that their father had died in an accident and as such the kids wouldn't be at school for a while, the principal said that since summer break was only a week away and they were already ahead of their school work they could take an early vacation.

I knew I had so much to plan, because I knew that my parents wouldn't help with the funeral since it was their fault he was dead, Tyron helped me plan everything, it was going to be a small funeral, just me the kids and Tyron.

It took me four days after hearing what happened before I had the strength to look at his body, I wanted to break down and cry forever, but tyron reminded me that I had to be strong, not just for me but for my nieces and nephews as well as my little brothers and especially my unborn child,

Hearing that made me snap out of my funk and realize that he was right, I needed to be strong for them and protect them no matter what, and as tyron made all the preparations all we had to do was show up,

It was finally time, the day of the funeral, the kids are all dressed in black and their faces are so sad, I give them each a hug and a small Peck on the forehead to console them.

As we arrive I have the kids seated and I go up to the coffin and I look at him dressed, in a suit hands over his chest, looking peaceful as if he's asleep,

"I'm really going to miss you big brother, you were the only one who cared about me and you helped me, Lyle, and Lance when our family gave up on us, you were there when no one else was, and for that I'm so happy and grateful I could call you my brother." I chock out, as I turned around I saw the five people who don't deserve to be within a mile of this funeral,

"How rude to not invite us to our own son's funeral,"
My father commented, the kids turned around and so did tyron when he heard his voice, as I moved to go near him tyron went with me, "How dare you come here?" I hiss out getting in my father's face, "You have no right to be here after what you did, what you all did." I tell them,

My father comes up and growls at me, "You dare to talk back to me you pathetic omega?!" He roars, and just as he's about to hit me, tyron gets in front of me and shields me, "Out of my way tyron this little brat must be taught some manners." My mother snapped,

"You touch this boy and I'll have your clan banished, try me, I already know you aided Stoneright in luring out your son, the emperor already told us how all five of you were accomplices in his scheme, any action taken against Daniel is hereby forbidden, as a member of the dragon council Daniel and those under his care are hereby under my protection, not even the dragon emperor would dare go against this. " Tyron said, which angered my father to no end judging by the look on his face,

"That may be but those kids are mine I gave birth to them they're my property!" Tyler's ex-wife exclaimed,
"The same goes for those two over there, they're still underage so as their mother I have every right to claim them." My birth giver said pointing to my two little brothers, they walked up and tried to grab them and when me and tyron tried to stop them, my dad and Jason grabbed us from behind, and pinned us down,

The children were screaming and crying about not wanting to go with them and my mother, sister and ex sister in law, told them to shut up, my anger was spiking at this point, but the one thing that made me snap was when Lyle bit Victoria and she screamed then back handed him so hard he hit one of the chair arms and was knocked unconscious,
