It was a normal day in mondstadt, afterall.. Jean is the acting grand master. Nothing would go wrong. Jean was getting ready to do her routine, she tied her hair in a ponytail and add a black bow for extra touches. Jean went ahead to fight some monster outside of Mondstadt but to her suprise, most of the camps were already clear. That when she noticed a familiar figure, the person has a red hair and was wearing a black jacket. Jean quickly knew who it was and walk up to the figure. "Hello Diluc, we haven't talk today, Thanks for the food yesterday" Jean said, walking up to Diluc as he turned his head to her. "As expected, the acting grand master. It is really a shame you joined the knights." Diluc said with a cold face.. "I see you still hate the knights, Diluc. What happened in the past stayed in the past. I hope you can forgive the knights, though its not our fault.. I hope you can join the knights some day because you are extremely skilled and talented." Jean said with a warm smile that made Diluc heart feel butterflies, could it be he was falling inlove? Diluc thought.

"Do you mind joining me for dinner? You could decline, of course. I know you are busy with your new job.. Dark knight hero.." Jean said as Diluc was quite suprised that she already figured it out. Of course when it come to rumours, Jean would try to solve it and it didn't take long for her to know who the person behind Dark knight hero. Though she would prefer to call Diluc by his original name rather than Dark knight hero. "Im a bit suprised you are willing to help protect Mondstadt.." Jean said with a smile, suprised that Diluc was actually willing to help her. "Its nothing, and yes sure.. I would love to join you for dinner tonight." He said before looking at the sky to see that it was becoming darker and darker. 

As both of them walk to Mondstadt to get some dinner, Jean noticed a hilichurl camp that was nearby. "Can you stay here for a while? I need to handle something.." Jean said as she rushed to the hilichurl camp as Diluc followed "Wait jean! There are too man-" Diluc said but it was too late, She was already fighting the monsters. Diluc sighed and helped her as he gripped his claymore tightly. Jean were killing all the monsters one by one while Diluc was just staring at her, impressed with her skills. After they finished fighting the hilichurls, Diluc then said to her "It was dangerous for you to go handle all of that hilichurls alone, those were like 10 hilichurls." Diluc said as he slowly removes his black gloves from his hand to check some bruises he got. "I know..-" Jean said as she peeked at Diluc hand, seeing his hand full of bruises. "Oh my Barbatos! Im so sorry Diluc i didnt think you would get hurt!- I-i.." Jean said, worried that Diluc would be hurt even thought it was just a small bruises and a little bit of scratches. "Jean, please dont worry about me, I can handle it myself."

Jean sighed as she knew that he was stubborn. They walk their way to Mondstadt and ordered some foods while waiting at the table, both of them were silent. It was very awkward to Jean.  'Come on Jean! You cant feel sleepy around here, your infront of Diluc' Jean thought as she nervously smiled when Diluc looked her way. "Jean.. Are you okay? You've been quite ever since we came here. Perhaps you want to change restaurants?" Jean then quickly said "A-ah! no really..!! Im fine! You dont need to worry about me.." Jean said, stuttering a few words. For a while Diluc believed her, but after a few minutes, Diluc knew something was off. "Jean, please. Get some rest, your clearly overworked.." Diluc said showing a worried expression on his face. It was unusual for Diluc to show such an expression but ever since the stormterror incident, the two has been close ever since. "How can i rest when i have 230 unfinished paperworks?.." Jean said, being careful to not anger Diluc. "Jean." Diluc said as he lift up her chin, being extremely gentle and careful. "Come home with me."

"..what?" Jean said, confused with what he's saying. "If you are in your office, you probably would not sleep. If you stayed at my house, i'll make sure you'll sleep before 11." Diluc said, while looking at the time that said '8 PM'. Jean was red as a tomato when Diluc said that, after a while. Diluc realised what he said, He was flustered like Jean but he still want her to not overwork herself. "Well.. But there are so many paperworks! I would get behind if i didn't do it on time.." Jean said. Diluc then replied "Just get someone to do it for you, Jean. Getting overworked is not a good thing.." Diluc said, as he took a sip from his drink. Jean blushed because she knew deep down inside, she has feelings for him. "I can help you with your paperworks." Diluc said, offering a help to Jean who look helpless. "I can't do that to you Diluc! Im sure that you already have a lot to deal with.." Jean said, looking suprised that he was willing to help her. Jean is a gentle person and she sacrifies alot for Mondstadt. For Barbatos and the people of Mondstadt. As both of them continued to talk, a person ran up to Jean, looking worried. "Acting grand master! I need your help! I cant handle this work and its too hard-" The person that was about to ask for help then ran away because they got a glare from Diluc. His eyes was cold to that person and in Mondstadt, Diluc is one of the person you dont want to mess with.

"Huh.. I wondered what that was about.." Jean said quietly to Diluc who look pissed. "Jean, this is why you have a lot of paperworks, you are being too kind.." Diluc said with a cold look on his face, still being pissed about the person earlier. Jean just replied with a warm smile, enough to make Diluc slightly smile a little and a blush appearing on his cheek. After both of them finished their food, they said their goodbyes and seperated. Jean's mind was all over the places "Why did he ask for me to stay at his house?" "Do i love him?" Her mind couldn't handle all the thoughts so she just forces herself to do more paperworks, not sleeping for the whole night. The next morning, Jean does her usual routine, she couldn't help but feel exhausted and tired at the same time. She couldn't really walk but she was forcing herself to do it. She had eyebags that aren't very showable but it's there alright. She then tied her hair and place a black bow, same like before. Before going out, she makes sure that she will check on Klee to see if she still sleeping or not. After that she goes out and spotted Lisa.

"Oh my, Jean! You look exhausted and tired.. You should rest.." Lisa said with a worried face, knowing that she will get weak if she's tired. But for jean, it doesn't matter because whats on her mind is Mondstadt safety. She barely could walk but forces herself to regain some strengths. While walking she spotted Diluc also heading out too, Jean doesn't want to bother him so she decided to go to Windrise. Jean loved the place as it was where Vanessa got ascended to Calestia and became a god to watch over Mondstadt. (Im not sure if that is correct but pls correct me if im wrong - creator) She then slowly sit and prayed to Vanessa, hoping she would get stronger and regain as much power as she could. She then decided to go to Daudapa Gorge to search for remaining hilichurls camps. 

That when she spotted Diluc, She thought that Diluc would've probably cleared all the camps by himself and she turned to leave to go to another area. That when Diluc called her name "Jean." Diluc said, enough for jean to hear him. She then quickly turned around, revealing her face and her eyebags. She was trying to stand up but clearly she couldn't after all of that work. Diluc noticed her struggle and came to her, holding her hand while he blushed. Jean was flustered but she didn't mind at all.

His hands were warm enough to keep her warm, Diluc then said to Jean "You didn't sleep, isn't that right jean?" Diluc said while scanning her whole body, enough to know she clearly tired and exhausted. "O-of course i slept!" Jean said, trying to lie. But it was obvious that Diluc already knew. "Jean.. You are overworked, you can't fight in your current state." Diluc said, while touching her forehead.  Both of them blushed because they were face to face with eachother. Just then an abyss mage just appeared out of nowhere. That alerts both of them, Jean then hold her sword tightly, afraid to lose it because she was in a weak condition. Diluc then puts his hand infront of Jean to make sure she doesn't get hurt and started to fight the Abyss Mage. After the Abyss Mage were killed, Jean was weaker than before. She start to reach out for her pockets to get her medicines that she always kept and swallowed it without water. "Jean, are you okay?" Diluc ask, trying to act like he was not worried but you can tell, he was being worried deep down. "Y-yeah.. Im fine. You dont need to help me any further.." Jean said, stuttering some words. Jean tried to get up but ended up falling again. She knew that she was starting to get weaker and weaker.. If she gets weak, she knew she couldn't protect Mondstadt. "Jean.. Please, stop being a workaholic." Diluc said as he helped her slowly get up
