Chapter One
The sun is just starting to set upon the horizon, the slow cascading icy precipitation having cast the forest floor in a blanket of porcelain. Even with the dark ascending upon the area, the snow casts an otherworldly glow upon the forest making it easier for the omega inhabitant to find his way through the covering of trees, without a problem.
The blonde haired omega shivers a little as he pulls his winter furs closer towards his body, the squirrel he had found in one of his many traps is slung over his shoulder as he makes his way back towards the tiny cottage he calls home.
He hums a bit to himself as he tries to ignore the cold seeping into his bones. Omega's bodies definitely aren't built for the cold, but Felix likes to push his body past its breaking point more times than not. Living on his own is hard work, but he manages just fine.
As he's rounding the last bend before the small cottage and clearing that he calls his home, a flash of red against white catches his attention. The red and golden silk robes look out of place upon the snow-covered ground, fine material like that having never seen a forest floor before.
As Felix grows closer to inspect, he has to stop himself from letting out a gasp. The scene is picturesque in a bittersweet way. The red-robed figure is gorgeous, almost like something out of a fairytale.
The boy, another omega, Felix notes from the sweet smell of the other omega's scent. Something akin to caramel, sugary sweet and tantalizing in the way it embeds itself into Felix's nose and never wants to leave. The other omega seems to be fast asleep. Probably due to the cold and exhaustion giving his clothing and obvious social status.
He is tall and lanky, with feminine features. His skin is flushed red from the cold making him look almost more like a God, than any ordinary being. A curtain of long, dark hair spreads around the boy in a pillow of black.
Felix admires the scene for probably a little longer than he should, crouching before the other boy, before actually reaching out to tentatively touch the other. As he caresses the omega's cheek he notices just how cold he is.
A frown settles upon Felix's face as he worries a bit for what that might mean for the other. Letting out a small sigh, the omega decides that he has no choice but to take the strange, beautiful boy with him back to his home to nurse him back to health.
Lifting the other omega's deadweight onto his back is a bit of a struggle for the small boy, but with a bit of effort he's able to do it. Clouds of vapor form from the deep breaths that he takes as he struggles to carry the stranger's weight back to his cottage.
"You better be thankful for this, pretty boy," Felix mutters more to himself than anything, considering that the omega is still passed out cold, literally.
It takes about twice the time to get back to the cottage with an extra weight upon the omega's back, the sky having completely darkened by the time he finally steps foot into the clearing he calls home.
Opening his door is a struggle but somehow the omega manages, kicking it shut behind him as he quickly makes his way into his small cabin. The fire that Felix had going before he left for his daily chores was all but ashes at this point in the day, having been unattended for hours.
Letting out a sigh, the omega sets his guest upon the rug in front of the fireplace, quickly covering him with a blanket that he kept upon the small couch in the living room.
