Remus, Sirius, James and Peter.
(Moony, Padfoot, Prongs, Wormtail.)

They were known as the popular and mischievous boys of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, or the Marauders. They were always pulling pranks and up to no good.

There was Sirius Black, the "bad boy" of the group. He was the handsome one that girls swooned over, but he was also a player so most of his relationships didn't work out. Sad for the girls, good for him.

There was James Potter, the one who was madly in love with Lily ,and the trouble maker. James and Sirius were joint to the hip like brothers. James had more restraint than Sirius when it came to girls.

There was Remus Lupin, the brains of the group. Like all the Marauders, he shared a close bond with his friends. Remus was probably the most composed and least hyper active of the group, always thinking before doing.

Then there was Peter Pettigrew, the rat of the group. Like a rat, he followed his friends around and did whatever they did. But like the group, he loved mischievousness.

Together they were the Marauders. A group of boys summoned by the devil himself, in the professors opinions.
This story starts off like any other day for the Marauders, this story starts off with a prank.

"Hurry up." Remus hissed. Sirius, Peter, James and Remus were all crouched behind Slughorns desk planting a little surprise for their dear old professor.

"Calm down, Moony. Have a bit of excitement." Sirius smirked.

"Yeah Moony, have a bit of excitement." Peter repeated.

Remus rubbed the sweat off his forehead. "This was a bad idea."

James rolled his eyes. "You say that about every prank and must you forget that you're the one who comes up with most of the ideas."

"Yes, but my ideas do not consist of stink bombs and a poor plan."

"Will you shut it!" Sirius hissed. They all immediately became quiet when footsteps approached the door from the outside.

"Do you think...?" James whispered. Light entered the room as the door opened to reveal Slughorn, his jolly smile turning into anger.

"What in Merlin's name in going on in here?!" Slughorn bellowed.

Remus sighed. "You've done it now, James."

"Many professors, myself including, have put up with years of your childish pranks and I honesty do not mind all that much. It is who you are." Said Slughorn. The boys sat in front of his desk awaiting their punishment. "But the other professors, they demand punishment for all pranks, big or small, done by all or any one of you." He read from a piece of parchment written by the professors.

"C'mon, professor Slughorn! Can't you let us off with a warning?" Sirius asked. "We promise it won't happen again."

Slughorn sighed. "I sadly can not, but I have picked the least harshest of punishments on the list of punishments for your group."

That lightened their moods up. "Thank you, professor." Said James.

"What exactly is it we have to do?" Remus asked.

"Well, judging by your records I've noticed that all of you are outstanding in different subjects. I would like all of you to work together and tutor a student who, I'm afraid, isn't doing very well in any of his subjects." Slughorn informed. Peter chuckled.

"Who is this student, if I may ask?" Asked Remus.

"Ahren Thrones."

Ahren Thrones was a Slytherin. He was one of those kids that never really fit into a specific group. He always preferred to be alone and people didn't seem to care. You could call him the weird kid. He spent his time sitting on window ledges and staring at the sky like something was going to appear. It wasn't a surprise to The Marauders that he was failing. Ahren attended all his classes but he was never really there, he looked as if he were always drowning in his thoughts.

"I'd rather clean the boys toilets with my tongue." Said Sirius.

The Marauders sat in the boys dormitories thinking up ways they could get out of their punishment.

"Do you think Slughorn would know if we teach him incorrect things?" Asked Sirius, looking through a book of jinxes.

"If his grades get worse than they already are, then yes." Replied Remus.

"But then we won't have to tutor him anymore." Said Peter.

"We'll get a punishment worse than the one we already have."

"What if..." James sat up, "What if we make him want to quit? There's no blame on us."

Remus smiled. "Now that is a good idea. Now all we need is a plan."

Sirius sighed and got out of bed. "I'll go make another bomb."

***

They were all in the library when Ahren arrived, he looked around and slowly walked towards them. Anyone in the library could feel the hate radiating off of the Marauders. Ahren was a strange kid, everyone knew that but to make him even worse, he was a Slytherin. He plopped down onto the chair in front of them and stared at them. The Marauders waited for him to say or do anything but he just sat there staring at them for who knows how long until Sirius decided that he had had enough.

"We're going to bomb you with a stink bomb." Sirius said calmly. There was a moment of silence before Ahren bolted out of his seat and towards the door, but wasn't fast enough. James grabbed his arm while Peter cast a silencing curse on him. Ahren went berserk trying to get away.

"Stop fighting, it's only a small bomb." Said James, pulling him towards a chair in the restricted section of the library. Ahren struggled, trying to pull his arm out of James's tight grip and ended up hitting the bookshelf beside him causing a shelf to break and the books to fall.

"Look at what you did, the bombs going to he the least of your worries." Sirius smirked. Tears were pouring out of Ahren's eyes as he was tied to the chair with the bomb under him.
"Lets get out of here."

"Wait." Said Remus, looking at the wall where the shelf once was. "Look at this."

James, Sirius and Peter looked at the wall. It all looked normal except for one small part of it which was pushed back about a couple inches, like a pushed button. Remus pushed the cement wall back more, another part of the wall opened up like a cupboard. Inside the cupboard lay a golden necklace with rings surrounding a hour glass.

"What is that?" Asked Peter.

Remus was awed, he'd never seen one in person. "It's a time turner."

"A what?" Sirius asked.

"It's like a time machine. It can take you into the past or into the future, but it's highly dangerous." Remus explained. They all looked at it for awhile, completely ignoring the crying Ahren in the corner.

"How about a little trip into the future?" Sirius smirked mischievously.

"Come on, put it down." Remus warned.

James grabbed the necklace and put it around his neck. "What's wrong Moony, scared?"

"Yeah Moony, scared?" Peter chuckled.

James lifted the necklace up into the air, the golden rings dancing on ribbons of light. "What's the worst that could happen?"
