Daisy’s
My name is Bailey Heartwood, I’m seventeen years old. I never planned for things to end this way…
It's a sunny day, the clouds fluffy shapes you could try and guess. I was sitting on the edge of the roof staring out into the sky watching the balls of fluff slowly soar across the sky. “Stupid!” I hear shouted from the porch below me. I quickly understand it’s my mother below calling for me. “Yeah” I say in an average tone, gripping the edges and looking down to see my mother red in the face standing tilted her foot tapping and arms crossed. I quickly realize that whatever she needs to tell me is urgent. I stand up walking over to the other side and climbing down onto the balcony. I walk through the house I was raised in that if the walls could talk would have left years ago. I should have left years ago.
[Flash Back]
“Where have you been!” I hear my mother yelling in the distance, she must be talking to dad. He's been getting home late almost every night anymore. He must be with Ms.Angel again he promised mother that the two were just friends but he's been gone too much to “Just be friends' '. Father never makes time to see me anymore. We haven't even eaten together in months. “You’re never even there for your kid, you horrible father, you never even cared for him!” she shouts back at him the rage in her voice starting to rise. “Hes nothing but a sissy i cant have a gay son it makes me look bad!” I hear the words flow out his mouth in rage and I feel the flood escaping my eyes. It's like the dam broke those few words shattering it. I bury my face as the tears keep coming, the river thick and long flowing fast and quiet. “Just leave Jacob, don't come back here, don't come near my child ever again” she mellows out her tone. I can hear that she is fighting tears the same way I just was.
