I'm running as fast as I can to the portal with my daughter mikkie in my arms, this could've been avoided if I wasn't stupid enough to teach her how to transform in the overworld! Ugh focus ??? I need to lose them from my trail. I'm so sorry my love .. I failed to protect you.. But I won't fail to protect our daughter even if it means dying for her.
After a while I've finally lose them, and i stopped for a few minutes to catch some breaths
Captain of the village: LOOK EVERYWHERE AND MAKE SURE TO KILL ANYONE THAT'S LIKE THEM! NO MATTER WHAT AND DO NOT SHOW ANY MERCY! EVEN IF ITS A WHOLE FAMILY, A ORPHAN OR A CHILD I DO NOT CARE KILL IT! AND FIND THEM!
I heard the captain of the village we once live in screamed venomously and angrily, as I hold my sleeping daughter close but carefully. I tried not to make so much noise while im making my way to the portal in which is just a few feets away, that's when I heard footsteps. My daughter was slowly waking up too, while I am still running I look at my child who was half awake.
Mikkie: *yawns* where are we going to dad?
"We are going to auntie's my child" I replied quietly so no one could hear us but unfortunately.. Someone saw us
Random villager : THEY'RE HERE CAPTAIN! YOU THERE! STOP ON YOUR TRACKS
They tried to slash me with their iron sword luckily I dodged it in the right time and punch them in the face , they stumbled back with tears in their eyes which gives me time to close my daughters eyes while putting her down away from harm. At the right moment the enemy was finally back up so I took my bow and arrows from my back and shot them with a flaming arrow. I pick up mikkie again and started to run to the portal.. When we got there I heard footsteps getting closer, I put mikkie down to say my final goodbye.. She needs to go alone in through the portal I can't come with her because they might follow us to my sister's Palace
"I am.. terribly sorry about this mikkie.. Promise me your won't forget me and mama alright?" I explained with a hint of sadness in my voice trying not to let tears run down to my face, I already she the tears forming in her eyes
Mikkies Pov:
Why's is dad saying this? What's happening? Who are those guys.. Is mama gone? Tears were starting to form in my eyes while I'm looking at my dad's face for possibly the last time
"I promise I won't dad.. Please *hic* don't leave me.."
"I'm sorry my darkling (his nickname for mikkie).. But I have to, to protect you and my sister.. I don't want to loose anyone else I love and care about. Please go find your aunt i need to stay to slow them down, so you can go to through the portal safely without anyone finding you." he said sadly
" but-"
" no buts.. Just go"
I slowly walked to the portal but stopped midway to look at my dad.. One.. Last.. Time he's back was turned from me but I see tears trying to escape in his eyes while smiling sadly and whispered "it's alright.. I'll be fine go"
He charged to the direction of the people who were chasing us down in the first place. I hid behind a tree to watch and see in the distance if he would be able to make it. He was beating them all and everything was going smoothly..
Until something or someone shot him I can't see who or what it was.. My eyes widened with fear, sadness and anger.. I tried not to scream and cry from horror, everything is like a slow mo as I see my dad's body falling limp in the ground.. I stunned.. To stunned to move but I snapped out of it and ran back to the portal.
I tried to remove what horror I just saw but I can't seem to forget it nor ignore it.. Who wouldn't! a 9 year old child like me seeing someone they dearly love die infront of them and in their own eyes.. Why do humans hates hybrids anyways?
I stopped infront of the portal to take a few deep breaths.. And realised I need to go through it.. Alone.. I never went through a portal alone..
