CHAPTER 8 THE INVITATION

Daniel POV

It's been a week since I found out who Darren was and let me just say that it was a crazy week, tyron told me about his trip to the emperor's castle and about him being the son of the former emperor who gave up his throne four centuries ago and decided to live a normal life, it was said that after that happened many dragons fought for the right to rule all dragons, but decided that each clan was going to be in charge of their own people.

It was also said that the emperor died twenty years ago, which is very sad to hear because that would mean he passed away at the same time as my grandmother, the last gem dragon in the world besides me, not to mention tyron had secretly founded the dragon council at the age of 16, and no one not even the council members know.

"There is also one other thing I hadn't told you, you see My mother was the first empress and my father's first consort, but not his only one, he had a child with his second consort about 50+ years ago but she left and gave the child her birth name, and that name is Gemson." I looked at him in shock, if what he told me is true then that means my father is his older brother, and he's my uncle, this was just too much for one day .

"Why didn't you tell me this before? Does my dad know that he's related to the original Emperor, and that he's your older half brother?" I asked, Tyron chuckles, "God's no if he knew that then he and the rest of your family would be worse than they are now.

I'm telling you this so you know that you, Lyle, Lance, and the kids are my family, and if you ever need anything from me all you need to do is ask." He smiled softly at me, I honestly was very happy to hear that news especially since I'll need more help seeing as I'm about three months right now, which you can't really tell thankfully since omega pregnancies are way different than female pregnancies.

First off we don't really get that big and morning sickness to us is more manageable, we still have the strange cravings, and the mood swings, yesterday I nearly bit Cody and lyle's head's off because they were fighting about what to watch,

I apologized and told them to just watch the shows they wanted on the TV's in their rooms, I also cried for an hour because I ate all my ice cream already, thankfully tyron and lance went to get me more so that was resolved rather quickly.

And even though I didn't want to admit it I wanted to ask about Darren but I didn't know how, and I guess tyron knew what I was thinking because he sighed and answered me, "I know you want to ask about him, it's ok if you want to talk to him, from what I saw when I was at the palace, he really wants to be with you. Plus you were seeing him for about a month, and from what you told me about him when you didn't know who he was you and him were really compatible, until I kinda messed things up." He said sheepishly while scratching his head.

I shook my head at that, "You didn't mess things up, you just told me the truth, plus I would have reacted to the news of who he was the exact same way even if Darren had told me somewhere down the road of the relationship that was going on between us." I answered honestly, and it was the truth, if he had told me the truth further down the road I would have probably reacted way worse than before.

There's no doubt in my mind that my parents or more specifically my father told Darren about me being a gem dragon, and now Darren wants me to be his fourth consort empress, which does sound great but he already has three wives, who had his attention first so there's no doubt in my mind that they'll target me, and just as I'm in my train of thought I hear a knock on the door, I answer it and someone I don't know is standing there with something in his hands.

"Can I help you?" I ask, "Daniel Gemson?" He asks, I shake my head yes, Then hands me the two huge packages he had and he also placed seven medium sized packages in a neat stack. "This is a gift from his majesty the emperor, for you, council member Sands and your children." He says and before I knew what was happening, he got in his car and left, leaving me with the boxes that were neatly stacked.

I blinked in surprise, "What are these?" Tyron asked me as he helped me bring the boxes inside, "I don't know but there's only one way to find out." I say as I opened one of the medium boxes first, inside was a beautiful little dress and under it was a letter with Ashley's name on it,

I then opened the others and it was the same thing, each package was a cute dress for the girls and very handsome suits for the boys, each with their own names with letters in them, and in the very last one was a gorgeous suit for me with beautiful
Flowers and silver and gold on it, it was amazing, and just like the others a letter with my name on it was under the suit, I opened it and I gasped at the contents,

"What is it?" Tyron asked, "It's an invitation to the emperor's ball he's hosting in a week." I reply, then I hand the last box that I'm pretty sure is for Tyron to him and just like the others it's an amazing suit with a letter also under, I have to wonder, just what is emperor Darren planning?
