5...4....3......2...........1. "HAPPY NEW YEAR" they shouted. They ran downstairs to see Gemma's parents. However, they noticed that Gemma's parents looked very nervous for some reason. "What's wrong guys?" Gemma asked her parents. Her parents stared at her for a couple of seconds before saying something chilling. "The Sun is Gone," said her mother. Gemma's parents were always very cool with us and liked to joke around a lot. So Gemma and her friends didn't exactly believe them. This is until Gemma looked at the TV and saw satellite footage of the sun being destroyed. The world should've instantly been chaos but somehow the gravitational pull was still there, keeping the Earth from any major disasters for now.
They looked back at the TV and saw something truly horrifying. The news anchors were being eaten alive and ripped apart by some creature on live tv. "What type of sick joke is this," said Kayla. She was disgusted by the sight. Suddenly they heard a loud noise come from above them. It sounded like some creature was moaning. Right then the roof was torn off by a giant hand and we saw what looked like a monster staring down at us.
Joseph ran for it to the door, his friends right behind him. Gemma's parents stood there, motionless. The creature reached its hand into the house and crushed Gemma's parents in a quick clench of it's fist. Blood squirted everywhere and it was a horrifying scene. Joseph and his friends ran out of there and sprinted to Joseph's house where the bikes were.
