Kaiko's somewhat peaceful sleep is interrupted by Ymir and Sasha, her roommates, talking quite loudly. She's always despised them, especially in mornings. She already had trouble with getting to sleep and staying asleep, and they definitely dont help. She rolls out of bed and grabs her hygiene bag, a fresh towel, washcloth and set of clothes, doing so while being unnoticed by the other two girls...well, almost

"Hi Kaiko~ Good morning!" Sasha sings out, a little too happily for the time being. Kaiko only responds with a scoff and a death glare, making the two girls basically deflate. She leaves the room and walks down to the females washroom, turning on the water as hot as it can go, and grabbing her soaps and washcloth and undressing, then stepping in. She washes herself, scrubbing her skin raw, while barely being affected by the practically scalding water temperature. while washing her hair, she hears three other girls enter the room, laughing and practically yelling to each other.

She rolls her eyes, though nobody can see it. I purposefully come here early so I dont have to deal with these happy-go-lucky idiots. So I dont have to worry about them seeing my nasty body. She thought.

She decides to wait until they get in the showers to leave, so she continues washing her hair, and she finds herself gazing down at her own body, her gaze quickly turning to a harsh glare. Scars, everywhere on her nasty, chubby body. Kaiko has always hated her body, the shape of it, how it seems so out of proportion. Huge thighs and chest, wide hips and a stomach with the tiniest bit of fat. Nothing ever fits her, but at least Dai's aunt loves her, and is a well-known tailor in the Stohess district, so she gets a lot of her clothes from her. She rubs the thick, puffy scars on her thigh, and realizes that the girls finally stopped chatting and got in the showers. She finishes rinsing out the conditioner in her hair and turns off the water, collects her soaps and wraps a towel tightly around her body, and another in her long, white and black hair. She steps out and dries herself off, pulling on her clothes. She makes her way back to her room, putting her dirty clothes and towels where they belong, and tucking her hygiene bag in her dresser drawer.

She walks down to the dining area, sitting down next to Dai, who is talking to Mikasa. Dai ends his conversation mid-sentence to smile at you and greet you.

Kaiko's POV

"Why aren't you eating again? What did I tell you? You wont lose weight by not eating. You dont need to lose weight, anyways, your body is perfect!" He scolds.

I ignore him and stare off into space, not even realizing the occasional tear falling from my eyes, until I'm snapped out of my thoughts when Dai places a hand on my thigh and gives me a worried look. I Sigh and roll my eyes, looking away. Dai and I have been friends for a long time, so long that I cant remember. I dont remember the date we met, not even the year. Time is irrelevant in the underground. As of 2 years ago, Dai and I have expressed our potential feelings for eachother, but decided to not pursue a relationship, instead, I guess, we're friends.. with benefits..

It gets weird sometimes, and sometimes I wish I never agreed to it, but Dai is so sweet and important to me, it makes me at least try to be grateful its him and not anyone else.

Dai said he doesn't have any interest in anyone other than me, and that if I like anyone else, it would be okay, and he wouldn't mind, as long as theyre good for me.

I dont.

Dai brings his fork up to my mouth, trying to feed me a piece of mystery meat. I glance at him, seeing a pleading and hopeful look on his face, I sigh and open my mouth. He feeds it to me and lets out a chuckle.

"Good girl"

I smile weakly at him, but not for long, as im startled when I hear a yell and the whole room goes quiet.
