Ankit woke up disturbed from his sleep. He looked beside for his only source of sanity in this madhouse but to his surprise he found the other side of the bed empty. Yeh kahaan chali gayi, aah maybe she also woke up and went to take a smoke.
He waited for a while and when he felt that this was taking too long he dragged his crazy self to the washroom. She was not there... Confused and worried he rushed to the garden. He was about to shout her name when he noticed the tiny figure laying on the sofa in the balcony.
Feeling extremely pissed he climbed the stairs with a cranky face. His crankiness was soon replaced by a peaceful smile. She had slept off and looked so angelic while sleeping.
He didn't wish to disturb her nor was he willing to let her sleep in the cold outside. Ankit Gupta did what he loved doing the most. He went on to take Priyanka in his arms but Pri being a light sleeper woke up the moment he touched her.
She looked shocked at first and then smiled "Ankii, you were asleep na" He frowned " Haan and now you have disturbed it. What are you doing here when you should be in bed?" "Nothing Anki, I couldn't sleep so came and felt like sitting outside" Avoiding his eyes she answered with a slight gulp. Ankit noticed yet let it go for now coz he wanted her to sleep for now. He could clearly read the tiredness on her face bt the aloofness was new. He noted to talk about it the next day. "Abhi so rahi thi na. Thoh chup chaap aakar room mein so ja. Nahi toh thujhe mein uthake le jaunga." Pri gave a subtle smile and got up to go inside.
The walk to the room was quiter than always. She still seemed to be lost in some thought. "Kya hua?" He asked concerned "Kuch Nahi. Its just the sleep" came the sudden reply. He knew it ws not just it but let it go for the night.
He was about to lay off to sleep but stopped seeing her take her pillow and sheet. "Kahan ja rahi hai?" She again averted his eyes "Iss bed pe zyada Hawa aa raha hai AC ka. Mein aaj Sree ke paas Sone jaa rahi hu room of 2 mein wahan ka temp sahi hai. Good Night Anki" and before he could even comprehend what had happened she was out of the room. He knew something was off but he was unable to connect the thoughts. With a number of unanswered questions in his mind Ankit went off to a very disturbed sleep.
