Bailey POV:

Niall never showed up to our little game. I met the rest of the boys in the lobby and we sat there for about 10 minutes waiting for him. Eventually, I couldn’t take it anymore.

“I don’t think he was feeling very well,” I said, which wasn’t really a lie, because if he was feeling the same way I was, he was probably feeling pretty shitty. Liam, seeing the look in my eyes, went to check on him like the caring boy he is.

Liam POV:

I stepped out of the lift and found the way to the door of the hotel room Zayn, Niall, and I were sharing. He was fine a few minutes ago. How could he have gotten ill so fast?

I swiped the room key and pushed the door open, revealing a dimly lit room. “Niall?” I called, stumbling into the dark room. Before he could respond, I heard some sniffling coming from his room. I walked in and spotted him lying face down on his mattress.

“C’mon Niall,” I said, jumping over and flopping down next to him. “Tell me what’s going on in that head of yours.” He lifted his head and turned it so that it faced me, his still rested on his pillow. He pouted at me and made an angry face before reaching over and smacking me upside the head.

“Ow, what was that for? ” I asked, rubbing the spot he hit.

He scrunched his eyebrows together and closed his eyes. “Don’t you have a football game to play?” He was trying to get me to drop the subject.

“Nope. Not until you say what’s going on.” I looked back over at him; I could see his face clearly now, which was red and puffy. He’d been crying.

“I.. You know how I told you I fancied Bailey?” he sighed.

“How could I not? She’s pretty much all you talk about these days.” I knew he was falling in love hard this time. It was the way he looked at her; you’d have to be blind to not be able to see how much he liked her.

“Yeah, well, that’s beside the point. You know how I told you she friendzoned me?”

“Yeah, sorry about that mate.”

“Well, she keeps kissing me- or, well I kissed her first but whatever. She kissed me today and it was just amazing. I felt like I could just fucking fly or something. And I know I sound stupid. But.. it was like a little miniature Harry Potter standing at the pit of my stomach, shooting those little red sparks out the tip of his wand. And don’t ask where that came from because I don’t know.”

I nodded. “Right then, go on. I’m still looking for the bad part of this..”

“Well, afterwards.. she just sort of ran off. She literally sprinted to the bathroom saying she needed to change,” he said blankly, stuffing his face into his pillow to avoid my gaze.

All of a sudden, Harry’s voice sounded throughout the room. “WAIT A SECOND! Did you kiss Bailey while she was still in her towel?”

“Harry, you twat. Go away. I’m not in the mood,” Niall said.

“You sneaky bastard!” he yelled, throwing a pillow at Niall’s head, which hit me instead. So I threw it back at him and hit him square in the back of the head as he left.

“Alright, continue.”

“Like I said, she ran off and locked herself in the bathroom. I could hear her crying, Liam. I promised I wouldn’t step out of the friend zone but I did anyways and I made her cry. I don’t ever want to see Bailey cry. It was just.. awful. I’m so stupid. I shouldn’t have let her kiss me.”
