Exhausted, Lindsay stumbled out of the house with her backpack slung loosely around one shoulder. After her early morning pandemonium, she tried her level best to calm down and do the tasks of dressing herself all the while fighting the itching urge to seek Namjoon and tackle him to the ground to make him pay for everything.
She didn't even bother eating the breakfast Namjoon had cooked for her. Not after that out of the blue stunt he had pulled on her. She would rather starve. However, she needed her energy for another rough day at school so she prepared her own small breakfast sandwich with her own two hands. To make sure that none of it was poisoned or contaminated with a chemical that could make her grow an extra head.
'HONK! HONK!'
She groaned and looked up at Namjoon ahead of her, already in his car with his hands steadily on the wheel. He rolled down the window of the passenger door."Hey come on in, clumsy toes." He called out to her and his red sunglasses looked smoothly glossy on top of his sandy hair. "We are going to be late,"
Lindsay took a few steps forward to stand right in front of the vehicle's passenger door. "Um, no thanks." Lindsay politely declined with a small fake smile. "I rather walk, but thanks for the offer."
She saw Namjoon scoff and shake his head in disbelief at her answer. "Walk?" he chuckled amused. "Do you even know how many miles we are away from school? I drive there instead of walking for a reason, you know.""Really? I thought it was because of your Eiffel tower high ego," Lindsay sneered to herself but because she chose to mutter that under her breath, Namjoon didn't quite hear it. Namjoon leaned back in his seat in exasperation. He shot Lindsay an annoyed glare through the window. "Look, would you just hurry up, please?"
"Yes, please do, Lindsay noona." came the sweet voice of a young boy and within a moment, Lindsay found that Seo-Jun who had been seated at the back, had peered his head through the now open backdoor window. "I'd love to ride with you," he said with adorable puppy dog eyes to which Lindsay found herself melting like an ice cream on a summer day to.
She switched her gaze from Namjoon's bugged face to the endearing one of his younger sibling. As reluctant as she was, one of the Kim siblings managed to steal her heart and change her mind. Sighing she grumbled, "Fine, I'll tag along."
"Yay!" at this Seo-Jun squealed cutely before seating himself prim and properly. Lindsay flashed the little boy an enchanting smile before opening the door and sliding inside.
Soon as she had closed the door and buckled her seatbelt, Namjoon gave a small nod before curtly asking, "You got your backpack?"
"Um, yeah?" Lindsay replied a bit unsurely at this unusual question. For further confirmation, she removed her bag from around her shoulders before pulling it forward from behind her to rest itself on her lap. Satisfied with what he saw, Namjoon let a sly smile spread across his face before he stepped on the pedal and drove off.
