A restless sleep lays upon the young man's mind,
Black curtain over his eyes makes him blind.
For now the blind man cries tears of blood,
In his dance, he trips and lands with a thud.

Now the skin on the blind man sticks to his bones,
So frail he would crumple if impaled by stones.
The blind man never finds sleep in the fray,
For he battles himself night and day.

Now the blind man dances awfully still, with wonder held,
Upon that hill, held on his palm as his enemies quelled.
A shadow follows across the valley of dreams,
They follow the blind man as the winds release screams.
---
Blind man, stop your screams and run for your life,
Darkness Shall Soon Come, quick as a knife.
Falling stars reach the Earth in a nearby shatter,
The sound spookes your mind as the stars scatter.

Your fingers reach to the ground, pointed at the edge,
Your mind has left and drowned, left you at the ledge.
Blind man run like you'll live,
The shadows don't easily forgive.

Blind man, Darkness Shall Soon Come,
Into your quiet ears, loud as a drum.
Darkness will guide your uneasy sleep,
Now's not the time to weep.

Your skin makes your bones jut,
Your skin so easy to cut.
Darkness Shall Soon Come, so sleep blind man,
As quick and quiet as I am deaf, you see I have a plan.
