Chapter 17: Now and then(3)

"Well then, time to fix the mess."

Demanded by Cale.

Once his party heard his voice, their lips slowly went up, turning into a smirk.

Slowly...Rosalyn and the three dragons raised their mana higher than they did earlier. The sudden pressure coming out from the three of them made the leader of the foxes frown in anger.

He stared at Cale, who disappeared like a bubble but appeared in thin air.

'Did Shiro-sama fail to tame this guy?'

He thought to himself.

When Aka suddenly received a report from his subordinate that someone from the traitor's family had appeared in the forest, he immediately informed his god, via praying, similar to telepathy, about the situation.

He also asks for a favor as he figures out that Cale, the descendant of the traitor, won't submit to him.

It was a natural trait of the foxes to bow to their leader even if you haven't met that person personally.

'Looks like Shiro-sama did fail.'

Because there is no way that their benevolent god will free Cale immediately.

By then, he heard Cale say it was time to fix the mess and noticed the changes in his subordinated reaction.

'Even Eruhaben is smirking.'

Aka thought it was weird for someone like Eruhaben, a prideful dragon, would be happy when he heard a human's command.

Now...Eruhaben wanted to laugh at Aka's face.

He is frowning so much that it won't be shocking if wrinkles suddenly form between his eyebrows.

He looked slightly behind his back and saw Cale's indifferent expression.

Eruhaben then starts to smile. His smile was so bright that Aka's expression changed immediately.

But it returns to normal.

"This is shocking."

Aka then visibly shows his fangs to them as he speaks.

"How did you refuse Shiro-sama? He is the god of our tribe."

He points at Cale.

"Despite having fox blood, you didn't submit to our god nor me..."

Now, Aka looks angry, as if someone is throwing cold water at his face.

He then asks again.

"How?"

Cale stares at him for a bit as he processes Aka's question.

'Well...he let me go...'

He wondered if it was okay to say this, especially to someone like him, the leader of the foxes.

'I bet he's very dedicated to him.'

Cale closes his eyes as he answers.

"What does that matter to you?"

He then releases his dominating aura to the max level and looks straight into Aka's eyes.

Silence fills the area.

But it was destroyed by someone's laugh.

"Pfft-! Hahahahahahahahaha!!!! Wow...this is interesting."

It was none other than one of Aka's companies.

This person has lovely silvery hair with blue eyes. By then, Aka's eyes went wide in shock when he saw this person.
