Chapter 31

-Marie's pov-

I've got a deal fr you. Bring something to me. Something furry, but furless. Bring it to Mr. Golen's classroom tonight at midnight. -A    p.s Me enchanta tacos

Who is this A person? They're really starting to get on my nerves....

"What does that mean?" Perrie asked immediately.

"I have no clue" I answer shaking in my head. How can something be furry and furless.

"I got it!" Eleanor said.

"You do?" Harry asked.

"They want a poodle! Poodles are furry but they actually have hair, not fur!" she explained.

"Now all we need is a poodle by midnight! Up top!" Louis said giving her a high-five.

"I think she's on the right track, with it being something with hair that looks furry, but I don't think it's a poodle." Liam said thoughtfully.

"Why not?" Louis asked.

"I think we need to figure out what the last part means" Liam answered.

"it looks like French" Niall commented.

"SPANISH! IT'S SPANISH!" I burst out excitedly.

"Niall you speak Spanish!" Harry exclaimed grabbing Niall by the shoulders.

"What does it say?" Jade asked.

"I think it says 'I am a taco'" Niall answered.

"It says 'I love tacos'" Zayn corrected.

"So...something that looks furry, but has hair and loves tacos?" Danielle asked.

"A BIGFOOT!" Perrie said.

"Bigfoots like tacos?" I asked stifling laughter.

"I don't know, probably. Everyone likes tacos." she shrugged.

"Where is a Bigfoot going to get a taco?" Louis asked.

"Maybe it eats squirrel tacos" she suggested.

"We'll call that Plan B" Zayn said to get us off the topic of how a bigfoot likes its tacos.

"It's a taco -loving poodle!" Eleanor said.

"Take this seriously! It's not a Bigfoot and it's not a taco-loving poodle! Next person who gives a stupid suggestion gets thrown in a closet." Harry commanded. Little harsh, but someone needed to take charge I guess.

"What about that lunch lady who puts way too much cheese on your taco and has to wear three hair nets?" Jade asked. Rain started spritzing out of the sky and people started covering their heads and asking if we can go inside.

"My hair is drooping! I'm going inside!" Zayn announced before running to the door.

"We can figure this out inside" Louis agreed. I gave him an accusatory look knowing that he was just worried about stains on his TOMS.

"UGGS can't get wet bye guys!" Eleanor said hurrying inside. Perrie and Jade looked down at their own boots and followed the train of people heading inside.

"the rain will wash the note away!" Harry said stubbornly sitting down next to it. By now it was pouring and only Lou and I remained outside with him.

"Hazza we have to go inside there was lightning" Louis said loudly trying to be heard over the rain.

"If we can't get the thing to the classroom by midnight, we have to call the police and they'll think we're crazy without the note!"Harry yelled back.

"How is us getting wet stopping the note from washing away?" I competed with the water splashing aginst the pavement.

"I don't know" Harry answered putting his face in his hands. His whole body shaked and Louis and I knew it wasn't from the cold of his wet clothes.

"I'll go get a tarp to cover it" Louis said. He hurried around the back to look in the shed.

"Harry, we'll figure it out" I sat down on the wet grass next to him.

"What if we don't" he asked his voice muffled by his hands.

"Then we search the enitire earth until we find A" I sighed.

Louis returned with the tarps and we placed it over the spray painted-note. We turned to leave, but a gust of wind blew the tarps away into the sky.

"Get back here" Harry yelled chasing the tarp down the road.

"TARP YOU BETTER LISTEN TO HARRY!" Louis yelled running barefoot after. I watched as the two boys chased after the tarp. All of their attempts were futile against the strong whisps of wind. The tarp was eventually blown up into the sky and they just stood there watching the last attempt to save the note rise up into the stormy sky. I glanced and saw that all that was left was the white in a puddle on the sidewalk. Harry sank to his knees in the middle of the road and Louis just stood there in his water-clogged clothes watching his best friend.

A car turned the corner and started driving down the road and the two boys didn't hear it over the noise of the storm. It was dark out and the car had no headlights on. I panicked running out into the road, flailing my arms like a mad-man. The car tried to come to a stop but it slid along the wet pavement. By now Louis had noticed. He attempted to drag an oblivious Harry out of the road in time. I covered my eyes.

I opened my eyes to find the car stopped right about where Harry and Louis had been. Harry was standing up looking fine but shocked and Louis was sprawled over the pavement.

I heard the sounds of shoes sploshing through the rain. Niall came running over to me where I stood at the edge of the sidewalk and I saw seven people running over to Lou and Harry.

"What happened?" Niall asked putting his arm around me even though he was dry and I was soaking wet. I was too shocked to speak. I just sprinted over to the others as fast as I could, slipping on the wet pavement. One of the figures came over to me. It was so dark that I couldn't see until they were right next to me. Justin helped me up and I continued running without thanking him.

"Louis!" I screamed running over to right next to him.

"This is all my fault!" Harry cried.

The door of the car flung open and someone in a black hoodie jumped out. They threw a can of spray paint at Harry and ran down the street.

"They can't run away!" Jade protested. Eleanor picked up the spray-can and threw it at the disappearing figure. Unfortunately, it came short.

"We can still get the liscense plate" Liam pointed out. He looked at the plate and frowned.

"It's Danielle's car" he sighed.

There were more footsteps as Niall and Justin approached with Mrs.Golen.

"I called campus security they'll be here in a few minutes you all can go inside" Mrs.Golen said.

"I'm not going inside" Eleanor announced and Harry shook his head. Not one person moved to go inside. If they had, I would judge them very harshly.

A red van pulled up with "Campus Security" printed in the side. A kind looking woman stepped out of the van. She smiled at us weakly and another guys stepped out of the van he picked Louis up and put our friend into the back.

"We'll call you when you can come visit" the woman said and the van drove away.
