Madeline silently stares at the screen.
The air in the room felt like it was getting thinner by the second. She didn't know what to say.
Her phone buzzes.
Kam.
"You are in? - Just had a notification of a new log in, is it you or Lando again?"
Mick slumps back in his seat, making Madeline look up from her phone to him. She can see that he looks slightly disappointed. "A bit weird" Madeline smiled to him. Mick gets up from his seat and walks to Madeline. "Not my place to say" Madeline stands up as they hug, and Mick heads back off to his room.
Madeline is not sure how to feel. Surely this whole thing looks like a wind up - but then why would Mick look disheartened by this?
