The sound of chime rang and echoed as the bell rang, marking the end of class. Students slumped onto their desks, a few groaned, others begrudgingly backed their bags. The teacher had already left, but not before leaving a date scribbled boldly across the board. It was stress-inducing, mocking even. The exams were coming soon.
One particular boy was exasperated. He groaned and sighed loudly, brushing back his black hair. He had dark brown eyes, kind of dreamy but not really, though his looks were definitely second to none here. He had noticeable holes on his ears, a few piercings but without a single earring.
"What's wrong man?" a student laughed.
"Hah," he huffed, face in his hands and whined. "Bro, I fucking failed the last exam. If I don't get more than a shitty passing mark in this test, I can't play at the finals."
"I know you got a pretty face and good at sports and all but how the fuck are you so stupid, man?"
"Stfu."
The two bartered for a while before the other left first, having some commitment during the lunch break. Brooding, he hadn't noticed that everyone had left already. It felt strange, being by himself. It was rare, at least at school, for it to be so quiet around him. He frowned, clearly uncomfortable. He prepared to leave when he realised not everyone had really left.
A familiar blond could be seen at a desk, eyes glued to the pages of a book with too long of a title. This boy, unlike the other, was always quiet, no one really talked to him unless they had too.
"Jeremy?"
The blond looked up, a visible shade of red on his cheeks and ears not expecting to be called by anyone. As he recognised the other boy, Jeremy turned a darker shade of red.
[Cute.]
An idea popped into the boy's head.
"Hey, help a friend out will ya, Jeremy?"
