Stormy Feelings

The Group

"Number 4, it's your turn." 

" ..." 

"Number 4? Are you able to go?" A guy in a blue hoodie stands up when he was called. He seems to be in his early 20's with ginger curly hair. He looked hesitant to talk at first but was finally ready after a minute or two. 

"A couple months ago, something very important to me was taken away. Something that I saw happen more than once. I honestly feel like it's my fault that they're gone. " 

"Can you tell us what happened?" Said seven with a saddened look. 

"My Yang was taken from me, and I never got to say goodbye to her." 

"How was she taken?" 

 "She sacrificed herself to save Ninjago, to save our friends, ... to save me. But I'm still here and she isn't! If I was the one that died, then she would still be here hanging out with her brother and our friends. It's not like I'm one of the useful ones on the team. Her brother made that loud and clear." 

"..."  

    Everybody knew who he was talking about. They knew who he was but pretended like they didn't for the sake of the group. Self-Help groups weren't supposed to know each other's name, yet they knew his.  It was Jay, the lightning ninja, and his Yang was Nya, the water ninja.  She had merged with sea in order to stop the villain in Ninjago. Every one of them knew what had happened to her, a few of them even went to the monastery where they had their memorial for her.

But all they know is what happened to Nya, they don't know what happened to Jay, or any of the other ninja. Sniffling can be heard as Jay continued with a shaky voice. 

"But deep down I feel something else. Something that I should not feel. Like the urge to complain at her actions, to yell and shout at her for making me feel this way. There are times I can't even look at her from how she makes me feel." 

"...And what feeling is that?" 

"..."

"?''

"hatred."

"I'm telling you Cole; Taylor Swift has better songs than Katy Perry. They're just more popular." 

"Um NO?! All I hear from Taylor Swift is country music and Shake it Off. While Katy Perry has- Oh! Hi Jay!" Cole says while looking at the door. The two of them were sitting on the couch with Kai playing video games and Cole watching Kai play while eating cake.  

Kai takes a moment to pause his game to say hi to Jay when all of a sudden, Jay starts running to his room. 

" Huh, that's weird, well, more than what Jay already is." 

"well he's probably still grieving over Nya, Kai, I say we should just give him space for a bit then ask him about it later. "

" Well, He's not the only one that misses Nya." 

" I know buddy, we all miss her but, Nya was Jay's Yang. It's gonna take him longer to finally accept that she's gone. I wouldn't doubt that he thinks he's the only one that feels like this and thinks that he's lonely. But if he really wants to be alone then we'll just have to wait and be there for him when he needs us." 

" You're right Cole, but I just get so angry at him cuz he's acting like he's the only one sad about Nya is him- Ohhhh, I see what you mean." 

" Yup"

"So... do I talk to him?" 

"Let's just give him some more time."
