2: My X Factor Journey

~Jorden Renae's P.O.V~

"Okay boo thang! Smile !" Myah said as she took a picture of me holding my number.

We safely landed in Denver and found our hotel. All we really did was sleep and I practiced for a while.

We have now been waiting for 4 hours. It was very nerve wrecking. You see many people go in through the curtain and few come back with smiles from ear to ear or joyful tears. Others came back furious or sobbing. I had tried to leave but Ryan and Myah held me back.

I was about 3 people away from going through those big curtains. It's kind of weird how people can make curtains scary. They were huge. When you stood next to them they made you feel tiny and vulnerable. Even though they were fluffy they were still scary.

You know when your watching the X Factor auditions and they pick random people to do their story on? Well I wasn't randomly picked. When I went to go register the producer happened to be there. When he heard who I was he immediately told me to come nicely dressed because I was going to be recorded for my story.

He knew who I was. He knew me as the girl who did the cover of "Thinking bout you" and got 1000 views in less than 2 hours.

Ever since the video of me singing my subscribers want more. So I gave them more covers. It was really great for practice and I got more subscribers as well as followers on Twitter. You know Lauren Jauregi and Camila Cabello from Fifth Harmony? They were contestants last year on season two. Yeah well them they both followed me and gave me a shout out on Twitter. I screamed my lungs out! I had never fan girled so much in my entire life ! They gave me advice for my audition and we have had a couple chats here and there.( I know right ? I'm lucky!!)

Anyways back to my audition. I havent practiced the entire day so I wouldn't restrain my voice.

"Okay Jorden you're up! " One of the backstage crew members said. "Just go up the stairs and wait on the red tape when we tell you to go you walk onto the stage to the little red 'X' on the floor. Good luck !" She kindly said.

I hugged Ryan and Myah and went to do my thing. I waited for my cue and then walked onto the stage.

The lights werent blinding. I saw the huge crowd as they started to chant my name . I was confused. How did they know my name? Wait ! My YouTube videos . It all made sense.

There sitting on the judges table was Simon, Demi, Brittney and , L.A. Reed. "Hello what's your name ?" Simon questioned as he was looking down onto his paper.

"I'm Jorden. Jorden Renae Evans. Jai or Renae for short."

"No way ! You're that girl from YouTube !" Demi whisper shouted in to the microphone.

"Aha. ye...ye...yeah I'm her! " I stuttered.

"Wait so it is true? You really are here to audition?" Simon questioned

WHAT ?! Simon the Simon Cowell knew who I was??? MAJOR fan girl mode.

"Yeah I really am. " I said.

"Okay lets hear what you got!" Brittney said excitedly

"What are you going to sing?" L.A asked.

"I'm going to sing 'I Have Nothing ' by Whitney Houston"

"Great song choice" Simon said.

"Okay good luck" They all said.

Singing infront of a camera and in front of an audience is a completely different feeling. I felt comfortable singing in front of a camera, but with an audience I felt as if I were home.
