25 - Caught in the Lie

"It's been a long time, I guess fate wants us to meet each other," Daeho said.

"Indeed my friend. Shall we get to the point?" Daeho chuckled and said, "You are an eager bird as always." Kim Daeho, my old friend and also the leader of Archer.

Daeho and I were in the same mafia group earlier called "BigHit"
We two trained together and were the two best partners in our group. But Daeho had different plans, he wanted to be more powerful than us and destroy everything.

He betrayed us many times and made another organization of his called the Archer. His and my groups were lethal in the community. When Daeho had his daughter he kept his identity low but he was more destructive than ever.

"Bighit called me yesterday asking us to take down someone we both know very well." I looked at him with alarmed eyes. "They called you even after you opposed them. Absurd Daeho, They despise you they will never do that." He sneered and dusted the sand off his coat. "Well, you are wrong Jihoon. They all know we both are more fierce than them."

I sighed deeply, "Who is it?"

"Lee's group"

Lee Finn, he was always faithful to BigHit and even to us. He was the promising sniper in our whole batch, everyone relied on him to slaying someone. "I know you are thinking he was the reliable one then how him? He betrayed BigHit for money for his sons, Lee John, and Lee Kai." I couldn't trust him, what if he tricked this. No, I should act smart with him.

"And how can I believe you? Don't think I still believe you, after what you did." "Fine, so come with me. He is going to take money from his new group by giving the identities of BigHit mafias. You shall witness if I am wrong or right tonight. I'll text you, see you later Kim Jihoon" He left the beach, abandoning me at a risky moment.

Should accept the offer or not? This question has stalled my mind since then. Unexpectedly I got a call from Chunga. "Hello, Sir. It's me Chunga."

"Hmm, what happened?"

"Sir, we just found out our undercover members are going to be published to the public. And we found out its name, It's Lee Finn and it looks like he worked in your old Group."

I paused my steps and stood there. Daeho was saying the truth. "Sir, sir are you there?"

"Yes, Daeho talked to me about this. Call everyone, it's an emergency."

"Yes sir"

[AT THE MEETING ROOM]

I tossed the file on the table. "Lee Finn, he worked with me in Bighit. The most devoted one in the group but we have to kill him. He is leaking our confidential identities. Kim Daeho has talked with me today about this and we are going to spy on him. We need to terminate him."

"But sir what's if he is pretending this. We can't count on him." Daniel told everyone's visions on me. "I know this, but we are at risk of uncovering everything here Daniel, if it turns out to be wrong, I need us to assemble the group units ASAP. Meeting dismissed." All of the members flee preparing for tonight.

A tingling sensation attacks my stomach, the fear that I hadn't experienced any time greeted me again. I looked down at the image.

My family, they looked so cheerful. Everything in this picture seems stunning. But I need to keep myself away from these feelings so that I can protect them, I can protect Eagles from him.

I stood at the area Daeho sent me, as the sharp wind flew by harshly. No one at the sight, just the dusk dimmed up by the street lights.

"Sir, it's been 20 minutes and he's still not in sight," Chunga said in my earpiece as they all hid behind the boundaries. "He's always late, wait for more minutes and then we shall go home," I said one last time before a voice bewildered me.

"You do keep your word Jihoon, I am impressed." Daeho stood by me.

"Enough with the small talks where is he? Wasn't he going to come 20 minutes earlier?" I raised my eyebrow in suspension, he smiled softly. "He'll come Jihoon, he'll come."

A car honk boomed our ears, we quickly hid behind the fence. Finn got out of the car looking around to check whether anyone was there or not. "I told you, he'll come" "He doesn't have the file" right then Finn held a file, the file clearly showed BigHit's logo..

My eyes enlarged, I couldn't process anything for a while. "Don't be Shock now Jihoon, told you this. He's a traitor just like me. Now let's just wait for the dealer and we two will destroy him." I nodded and pulled out my gun.

Finn clapped two times, it looks like an alarm for thedealer. A large Tall man emerged, he wore way too big a black coat and a hat which hid his face. He walked gradually, his rough footsteps now surrounded the region.

The man moved his hat a little giving a little peek of his top. His left eye had a large scar. "Show me the file" he instructed. Finn lent his file just then Daeho uttered, "Now" I shot up the sky making the men horrify.

"Lee Finn, Hands up now or we'll do worse now," I spoke firmly as we both came out.

Chunga positioned everyone from the earpiece. "You were the reliable one, why did you do that Finn? If you need money you could have asked us for your kids." I said softly but Finn abruptly snickered as Daeho left my side and went to Finn.

"You think I, Lee Finn, need money. I am more wealthy than you Jihoon. You are a fool, accepting Daeho all again even after all this."

Shit, I am trapped.

"Red" quietly mumbled but loud enough for Chunga to hear from the earpiece. "Sir we are coming. Just don't turn off your earpiece." Finn put his hands down,

"Turn it off. That earpiece now."He said. I swore mentally now it's me or eagles. turn it off and put it down.

"Weapons down Jihoon," Daeho snigger. I quietly put my gun down eyeing both the sick people with scorn. Chunga, I need you. Finn came close and shoved me down on my knees and made my hands up, "You are a pathetic fool." He spat at me. I smirked in return

"We all can see who is pathetic here. You just worked with him for money, you greedy pig." He punched me rough on my face, I knocked over. I could taste my blood, I spit it. Finn yanks my hair up to face him, his eyes in fury. "Such a pity that you can't admit the truth Finn I had high hopes for you." Out of anger, he kicked hard in my abdomen, I grunted

"Finn leave him, he's a waste of time." Daeho slowly walked to me and placed his gun at my forehead.

"Let's end him right now."

"Before ending him, fight with us." Gunshots instantly shot down at them. It was Chunga, she instantly came to me.

"Sir are you fine? I don't think you should fight in this health." "Yeah have some injury in my chest but I can fight, come on we have to end them." We both nodded and seized our guns.

It's time to be serious.
