"Mister Na, it looks more like ingrown hairs than herpes. Your tests came back negative." The doctor looked at something on her clipboard and clicked her pen.

Jaemin's eyes widened. "That's... that doesn't make sense... I..." He couldn't believe it. All of this, and he didn't even have the freaking disease?!

The doctor nodded again tapping the clipboard with the pen. "Mhm. See, nothing came back, absolutely nothing. No UTI's, no herpes, no genital warts... definitely just ingrown hairs. You can take pain medicine for that." She smiled sympathetically as Jaemin's jaw dropped. "Would you like us to fill a prescription for pain meds, Mister Na?"

Jaemin shook his head, his mind racing. It should be a relief that he doesn't have a fucking STD, but then if Renjun got herpes from Donghyuck, then he should definitely have it, right? Nothing was adding up.

He thanked the doctor as she gave him a rundown of his results and what to do after he leaves. After that, he trudged back into the lobby, where Jeno was trying to get Renjun's hand out of a vending machine slot. Donghyuck -who'd tagged along because he had nothing better to do- sat in a chair and played Cookie Run Kingdom on his phone.

"Let's go." Jaemin muttered abruptly, making Jeno chase after him in concern. Donghyuck followed them, leaving Renjun's arm stuck in the machine.

The demon groaned in exasperation before a burst of heat erupted from his palm and the glass melted. People looked over in shock, the waiting room dead silent as Renjun grabbed and handful of candy bars and stomped towards the exit doors.

Jeno's brows furrowed as he caught up to his boyfriend, who stormed across the parking lot and towards the van. "Jaem? Jaem, baby, what's wrong?"

"Nothings wrong! Literally nothing, the tests came back negative!" He blurted, unsure why he was upset. He was told he was healthy, but none of this was making sense!

Jeno cocked an eyebrow and was about to say something, but Donghyuck beat him to it.

"Yours too? Damn, that's crazy." Donghyuck mused, Jaemin's hand stopping as he touched the van's door handle.

"Yours... came out negative?" Jaemin's head was starting to hurt now.

"Yep." Donghyuck slid into the car after shoving Renjun aside. "Totally invisible, even though they looked at my... y'know, and it was definitely not normal. Still not, it's weird and pimply and there's some sort of dis-"

"OKAY, I THINK THAT'S ENOUGH OF THAT." Jeno stopped Donghyuck, turning the key into the ignition with a disgusted look. He turned out of the parking spot and started to drive back on the highway.

"Look, all I'm saying is that I don't trust doctors. My mom's a nurse and she said the doctors I went to were wrong. She thought it was herpes too." Donghyuck nodded, before scoffing. "Got into a huge lecture because of it, actually."

"My mom is too! I thought it was herpes when I saw it! I'm not crazy!" Jeno exclaimed, merging into the right lane a little too shakily.

"Before I even knew you had it, Renjun said he had it. Said he took a-"

"Hot magma bath, yes." Renjun nodded, tossing his armful of stolen candy into the backseat. "Wonderful cure, it is a shame that humans cannot take those."

"Don't trust doctors, babe. We all have it." Donghyuck shrugged. Jaemin frowned and started again.

"So... you have herpes?"

"Mhm."

"And you got it from Renjun."

"Yep."

Jaemin hummed and grimaced. "Ah. So, did you tests come out negative too?"

"Yessir."

Jaemin but his lip in thought. "But... Mark Lee also has it."

"He texted me today, it's negative for him too. What are you not getting about this?" Donghyuck rolled his eyes, making Jaemin feel stupid.

The rest of the drive from the clinic was silent, apart from Renjun open-mouth chewing on a Hershey chocolate bar in the backseat.
