Unexpected meeting

|| Gregory's pov....||August 30th.

Oh, how wonderful the weather is in summer. Breathe in the warm air and enjoy the taste as the lungs overflow with their warmth. Maybe children are terribly annoying, but sometimes it's even nice to hear them squeal with joy. Many children run around the playground, apparently playing catch-up. These kids remind me of my childhood, of my little friend, Evan. I remember when we were kids we used to run from my mom because we always took candy without her permission. At school, we used to have lunch on the veranda all the time. Evan always said he liked it here. He said it was quiet and peaceful here. I will never forget that bright smile that this little boy gave me.I will never forget all the moments that I spent with him. I will never forget his tears.I will never forget how he hid his emotions behind a smile, smiling at any passer-by who probably even hate him. Evan was rarely open about his feelings with others, but it was different with me. He always spoke out, always asked for help. In front of me, he never had that fake smile of his.

Today, was a special day. This is the day I finally get into college. I always dreamed of getting there and working in a megapizzaplex in the future. Of course it's a pity that I won't see Evan. Without him, it will be very, very difficult and boring. As soon as high school ended, our paths went our separate ways. We still text each other, but this is still not what I would like. I would like to talk to him in reality, not virtual one...
We drove up to a huge building. It said 'Hurricane National College'. It's been my dream to come here since high school. The entrance was crowded with people my age. What kind of riot is here today?

<<Woah, son, just look at how much people are there! Probably waiting for a handsome boy named Gregory..She said, joking about the first part. But, i can agree I'm handsome.

-Mom! I know, I'm handsome, but they don't even know me! How can they wait for me?!

-Well, Greg, every student knows when a new kid is coming. Once someone will hear about it, the rumours about new student will be everywhere. And that's a tradition for children. They meet everyone all the time. Believe me, it will be very cool here. And maybe even lucky and Evan will be here! The blonde said, smiling as she looks at the road>>

I thought about Evan. Maybe, Vanessa is right and he actually could be there.. But, what's the percentage of him coming here?
As i got lost in my endless thoughts, I saw that we had already arrived. Up close, the college looks even bigger. As soon as I got out of the car, a light breeze blew on me. Everywhere smelled of juicy apples and roses. This scent is motivating.
Vanessa opened the trunk and took my things one by one.
I wonder what awaits me here? Maybe something bad? Or is it still good? Will my best memories be here?

Her hair gently swayed in the air, and she herself smiled her brightest smile. Never seen her so happy.
Mom's smile always set me up for the best.
Seeing her happy was the best thing in the world.
Even if she is not my biological mother, I love her more than anything in the world.

I looked at my mother, and without even saying anything I took my bags from her. Surprisingly, the bags were heavy.. Oh, what did I put in there?!

Mom and I enter the building, when suddenly all the students immediately turned to us. I could feel how they stared at me, it was making me really uncomfy. As soon as they were staring at me as at a freak (If you're a victim of bullying, remember, your not alone!!!), their expression changed as the girls started falling for me. It was fun that I just came and all are already so in love with me. Thought, they don't have a chance over me. My heart already belongs to someone!

I looked at a door right next to my face. There was a sign that said it was the principal's office. Also, the name was written there. Apparently, this is not a director, but a headmistress. Her name was "Julia Bethany Mikut". Mysterious name, right? Vanessa first lightly knocked on the door, and only then opened.

<< I'm sorry, ma'am, we're not disturbing you from your work?Vanessa said, smiling
- No, miss, you don't. You can come in. The woman said cheerfully>

I looked at this woman and immediately scanned her appearance. She was wearing a white shirt with a jacket over it like a blanket. A long black skirt went down to the foot, and on the legs heels. Julia herself had blond hair that was collected in a neat bun.Her eyes were blue, like a sea,and they sparkled with joy. I could tell that this woman is very kind. Julia and my mom look alike actually. Thought the blue eyed one looked younger than the green eyed woman.
I didn't saw like Vanessa was already holding my schedule. There was many sections I could pick. And at the end was number of my dorm. It was 12. Well, I guess I'm on first floor! I rushed down the stairs forgetting of how heavy are the bags and completely forgetting my mother.. After we cam to the dorm, Nessa was really mad at me. Well, I don't blame her, this kinda my fault after all. I opened the door as i saw that there was someone already. How? Well, the room looked already full of stuff and the first thing I saw is a photo on shelf.. It was me and...

<<EVAN?! I yelled as i got very excited. After the minute i yelled I saw him. EVAN!!!! I hugged the smaller boy very tight, as I heard yelling after me..

- G-.. GREGORY?! He first was processing the situation, but after he hugged me back very VERY tight.

-I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE HERE TOO!!!

-SAME!! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!>>

We lasted like this not for so long, as i heard Vanessa said.

We both turned red as tomato from awkwardness.
