Chapter 1: Last Day of School

If we had known the unfortunate events that would have happened after Luna told us of her secret, I would've never went to camp.
"Sammy if we don't leave soon your going to miss your flight for camp." Mom called from down the stairs. "I know mom I just can't find my band shoes." I replied. "Did you check under your bed." She said with a scared look on her face as she stood out side of my door. "Nevermind, I found them."I replied. After getting everything together mom took me to the airport to get on a flight to Idaho I got accepted into the Shady Grove band camp for young musicians. Mom says that this will be good for me. I couldn't disagree more.

After a two and a half hour drive we finally made it to the airport. " Hey Lilly." I said."Oh, hi Sammy I'm so happy you decided to come after all." Little did she know I was terrified the longest I have ever been away from home was staying the night at her house, and she only lived two houses from me. With and annoying look on her face she said. " This is Ace, he's from Sandpoint." I tried to say hello to him but all I could get out was a lousy "Hi."I have never really been that great with talking to guys, especially cute ones. He had to have been about six foot three, he had the most beautiful sky Blue eyes and dark chestnut brown curly hair. Looking at me with a grin he replied. "Is she always like that." "Like what." Lilly replied. With a big grin he said. " Beautiful." I quickly ran to the restroom with my head down praying he didn't see how red my face was from embarrassment. Looking at Lilly he said. "Did I say something wrong." Rolling her eyes she said. "No, she's just really shy and she's never really had a guy talk to her like that." he replied. " I don't understand why any guy wouldn't want to talk to her she's absolutely resplendent." Sarcastically she replied. "Well just take it from me, her best friend she doesn't date." He then he replied. "Well I guess we'll just have to see if I can change that." Slapping him she said. "Ace, no disrespect but your an idiot."

"When are we going to land." I asked Lilly trying to hide the shakiness in my voice. " We have about an hour and a half left until we get to the airport then we have to get on another flight." She replied with a grin." WAIT WHAT, we have to get on another flight, I thought we just had this flight." I replied trying not to show how nervous I was . "I'm just messing with you." Slapping her I said. "Don't do that you know how I feel about flying." Laughing Lily replied. " I know thats why I said it." Right after me freaking out Ace setting right beside us said. "Don't worry even if we had another flight to get on, I would have switched places with Lilly and kept you safe." I quickly looked out the window hoping he didn't see my awkward smile and blushing cheeks. Lily told him. " Give up bro she's never going to date you." With a chuckle he replied " I had to at least try."

As I looked out the window I thought about my last relationship. " Samantha, Dave is at the door looking for you." My younger sister Casey screamed from down stairs. "Ok, tell him I'll be down in a minute I'm still getting ready." I finished getting ready and went down stairs. With an evil little smirk on her face Casey replied "Ok, Dave she said you can take your annoying self back home." Slapping her on the arm I replied. " No, I did not." "WOW." Dave exclaimed.
"What." I responded with a shy smile. "You look amazing." Trying to hide how excited I was that I was going out on my First date I replied "Thank you, you don't look to bad yourself." Just then my mom and dad walked in. " Well Marshall hunny doesn't our daughter just look so beautiful." My mom replied. "Yes, Martha she sure does what can I say though she gets it from her beautiful mother." Rolling my eyes I say " Thanks, We will be back by 7:00 on the dot." "Well Hunny your father and I decided because your almost 15 and this is your first date that it would be ok if you stayed out until 9:00." With a shy smile on my face I responded. "Oh my goodness really." With a smile she responded. " Yes hunny, now go before we change our minds we love you." With a big grin on my face I replied. "Oh thank you,thank you,thank you and I love you." So Dave and I pulled out of my driveway and we headed to the movie in the park.

With a cute smile Dave asked. "So, What do you like to do for fun Sammy, it's ok to call you Sammy right." "Yeah it's fine, and I love to go help at orphanages and homeless shelters in town, what do you like to do." I replied."Well between Football practice, basketball practice, and baseball practice I don't have much time for myself." He said. "Wow I didn't realize how many sports you play." I replied with great enthusiasm. Rolling his eyes he replied. "Well my parents say that it's a good opportunity for me because I could possibly get a scholarship from it, but in reality it's just something to keep me busy so I don't get in to any trouble." Smiling I say. "Well it's still cool that you can keep up with doing school work and being in all those sports." With a serious look on his face he replies. "Yeah I guess, but enough about me how about you,are you in any sports." With a really dramatic eye roll I say. " No, but I do play clarinet in the band." With a grin he replies. "Oh that's cool." Giving him a grin back I reply. "Yeah, I guess I just hope its worth it at the end of these four years I'm hoping to get a scholarship out of it." Changing the subject he asked. "Other than band and helping with the orphans and the homeless what else do you do for fun." " Nothing really, I mean occasionally when I have the free time my friend Lily and I like to horseback ride." Excited he replies. "Really you horseback ride." Quietly I respond. "Yes." Jumping up he says. " What a coincidence, my family and I happen to own horses, if you wanted to I could take you for our next date." with a nervous laugh I say. "That would be fun." Helping me up he says. "Anyways I should probably get you home it's almost 7:00." "But my parents said I didn't have to be home until 9:00." "Well i know but I was hoping to maybe make out a little if you wanted to." ("Oh my goodness he wants to kiss me.") "Really." I said nervously. With a cocky grin he replied. "Yes, really you're so beautiful who wouldn't want to kiss you." Smiling I say "Well then we should probably get going I'm sure my parents are probably expecting me to come home a bit early anyways."
Later on that night my mom came in to my room . "So hunny how did the date go." She asked. "Good, it went really good." I said. With a nervous smile she replied. "That's good, so does he want to go on another date with you." "Yes, Lily and I like to go horseback riding sometimes, so he said that he would take me, his family owns a couple of horses." I said. Just then my sister comes in to my room and says. "You horse back riding your terrified of horses, hahaha." " Shut up, Casey I do to like horseback riding." I said in an annoyed tone. Rolling her eyes she said. "Um, no you don't you only go because that's what Lilly likes doing." Slapping her is say. "Shut up, mom tell her to shut up." With a stern voice she says. "Now Samantha don't hit your sister,I'm not going to tell your sister to shut up, but you are going to say out of your sister's business Casey." At the same time Casey and I say. "Whatever."
Two years later.
Trying to hold back her anger and tears Casey comes into my room and says. "Sammy, can I as not only as your sister but your best friend tell you something." With an excited smile I replied "Sure what's up sis." But,before she could even speak my heart sink into the pit of my stomach from the look on her face. "Ok so, you and Dave have been dating for about two years now right." She said. Trying not to cry I say in a shaky voice. "Yes, just tell me what's going on Casey." Holding my hand and crying she says. " Well Jill and I where at the mall and we decided to take pictures with our Polaroid cameras and we took a complete of the fountain area, and well look who's kissing Stacy." With tears streaming down my face I asked her. " Are you sure that's Dave." "Yes Samantha it is im so sorry your having to find out from me but I couldn't keep it to myself any longer." "Thanks sis, I love you." "Are you ok." "Yes, I mean I will be."
