3: Moving in

I woke to a knock at my door. Groaning, I rub my eyes before standing and grabbing my wand from the table next to me. The door opens and I see Remus peaking through. "Oh good you're awake. Lily sent me to get you since breakfast is ready and has a couple listings to show you." I grunt in reply and head out of my room. Remus stops me in the hall when he sees my face and gives me a small frown. "Are you alright?" I nod with a sigh and look away. "Alright. I know you must be feeling lost considering what you went through yesterday, but if you need anything, even if we sit in silence for hours. I'll be there for you. You're our friend now too." I pull Remus into a hug as the tears reappear for an encore. He tenses for a second before rapping his arms around me and giving me a big but gentle squeeze. He pats me on my back and I pull away, giving him a smile in thanks before going to the bathroom to freshen up.

At the table, plates were already set and served at everyone's seats. There was a fresh pot of tea and a pitcher of orange juice in the center. I picked up my preferred drink to serve myself a cup before diving into the eggs and sausage on my plate.

James phone dings a couple of times before he pulls it out. He lets out a sigh and flips his phone around so we can all see what it was. "Sirius has been trying to send pictures of everything but hasn't realized he's blocking the camera with his finger."

I laugh at the blurry photos, almost choking on my drink. "He'll get the hang of it eventually." Sirius walks into the dining room a minute later taking his seat next to me.

"Morning everyone! Thank you for breakfast Lily, looks wonderful as always." He says as he then takes three big bites and clears his plate then fills it with a second serving. "So L/N. How much do you know about us?" Remus nervously asks. "Well, I know you all met on the Hogwarts express and how you were all the pranksters of the school. I know three of you became animagus so you'd help Remus during his transformation. Lily and Petunia don't get along. Sirius and his family don't get along. Which by the way I need to speak with Regulus. James' parents- wait, that doesn't happen yet." He panics as I say this. "What hasn't happened yet?"

"Make sure your parents are up to date on their dragon pox vaccine. You may have to fight them a bit, but the death eaters are going to go after purebloods who go against them by drugging them with concentrated dragon pox. It isn't pretty from what I've read online. Considering the date it's speculated to happen really soon. Everything I know about this era has no concrete dates, just the month it happens or year." He calms down a bit but goes off to send a letter to his parents.

"Why do you need to speak with Regulus?"

"So you know what I am?"

"Of course I know what you are Remus, and I don't give two shits about it." He nods, still feeling a bit unsure. "I need to speak with Regulus because Voldemort is going to ask him for something that will lead to his death. I want to prevent it, plus he can help us."

Sirius looked at me shocked, and a bit panicked, "He's going to die?"

I place my hand on top of his "not if I can help it."
He nods looking lost in thought and I squeeze his hand in reassurance. "Oh! Before I forget, here are the listings in the area." I take the papers from Lily and look them over. "Do you think we can look at some listings on the countryside of muggle London? What I have planned so far, I have been planning for years before I knew I would be sent here."

"What have you planned?" Lily asks as she starts to clear the plates. I stand and assist, "well before I knew Voldemort was just step one, In the fanfictions I wrote my characters planned on collecting his Horcruxes so once they have them all they'd destroy them then battle it out with him. I plan on doing what I wrote so I need regulus because that's when the last piece will be placed before Harry's story starts." Lily doesn't say anything in reply as she washes the dishes in the sink list in thought.
