I woke up to the sounds of my family arguing again and for the last time.I sat up and pat the head of my puppy yang.He was a comfort present from my partner after my great grandma passed it didn't go planned as a comfort present but that's what ended up happening and ironically this little guy has helped a lot and today me and him will have a new home.My great grandma's home.

Before she passed away she sent me a letter.yes a letter a little old fashioned but she liked it that way well for some things mainly because it was magical and me and her both loved the mystery of magic all though to her i don't think it was a mystery for her.She always gave me things that seemed so magical and they were in some ways.My dad would always get mad about great grandma even mentioning magic for some reason even now even though i'm 18 he still doesnt want me near anything involving magic.Im not sure why i mean he claims he doesn't believe in magic so if he doesn't then why make such a big deal about it?anyway the letter.she left me a letter with several keys, her will and an actual normal key unlike the beautiful magical ones that were all on the same key ring this one singled out key.

The key to her house. She gave me everything she had nothing to anyone else except some money to some parts of the family but i got most of it mom thinks it because of me getting the house. My mom doesnt know why i got the house neither do i but my dad does and he was livid and won't tell us why.My mom thinks it because i've wanted to move out for awhile and i love the house so great grandma left it to me to live in.But knowing great grandma there's always a crazy reason for her crazy actions.

After being lost in thought for a while sat in bed. I got up and started gathering the boxes of my things and packing the final things away.As i started packing up yangs toys a soft and calming voice said something behind me.

"Need any help?" I turned around and smiled at my partner and boyfriend who were standing in my doorway.

"No i got it" i smiled not noticing that yang was taking his toys out of the box and playing with them as i tried to pack.

"You sure?" mimi chuckled as they picked up yang who was squeaking his squeaky toy.

Looking at them holding yang always made me smile. The reason yang was named yang is because he's a husky mixed with a corgi and his black and white fur remind mimi of yin yang which is their mine and our boyfriend ash's symbol we put on almost everything of ours.seeing them hold him just reminds me of that and makes me smile.

"Rain?" ash and mimi called my name in unison trying to snap me back into reality.i snapped out of my train of thought and chuckled at them saying things at the same time again. They chuckled to as ash sat down with me and helped me put the dog toys and things away while mimi held yang so he wouldn't run of with anymore toys. After finally finishing packing we picked up the boxes except mimi who was still holding yang.

We went down into the kitchen where my mom was making my favorite breakfast food, breakfast sandwiches."mom we don't have time for breakfast-" i was stopped mid sentence by a piece of bacon being shoved into my mouth.

"Which is why i'm putting them in little containers for you guys to bring to the house to eat." My mom stated as she continued packing breakfast.i looked down at the table and saw a half eaten breakfast sandwich.based on the hot sauce smell coming from it,it was my dads he puts hot sauce on everything.A habit i picked up as a kid but i don't do it as much now.

"Did dad leave early for work?" I looked up at my mom as I asked the question as she paused for a second.

"..you know how he feels about you moving into great grandma's house-"

"If only I knew why..." I mumbled a little frustrated that he left before even saying goodbye to me.

"Your father..he has certain feeling about that house and the idea of magic-" she said handing mimi the containers of food."he won't tell anyone why.but he never tells anyone anything" which was the truth dad never did tell anyone anything (which is probably why they divorced when i was little) especially about why he hates the idea of magic and that house. The only thing he said to me after hours of arguing about me moving in there was one simple but confusing sentence.

"Do not go in the garden."
