A Shadow's Diamond

Chapter 10

Diamond and Shadow walk into the nearest town of Mobias. Diamond led the way as they walk down the street as many citizens stop and stare. The citizens are aware of Diamond being with Dexter and are hoping that she hasn't left him for Shadow. 

Diamond stops at the coffee shop that her, Ray, and Olympia were originally at. She goes up to a waiter and asks for a table for 2 which the waiter walks the duo over to an outside table. She sits down in one of the chairs as she watches Shadow sit down in the other. She smiles warmly at him, "I thank you for coming out with me despite after the scene that we did with the hugging and stuff. I thought that it would be good if we left that building and got some drinks."

Shadow looks at Diamond in the eyes, "You are fine."

"You look good for someone who is in his 50s." Diamond giggles to herself.

"I am only 17." Shadow says while beginning to turn his attention to around him.

Diamond nods and looks away. She isn't sure on how to talk to Shadow anymore. Especially since they haven't talked to each other in a while. She turns her eyes onto Shadow once more and noticed that he is still the same as he always has been. She clears her throat, "Do you want me to help you find a someone for you? Ya know since I have a someone for myself."

"I will find someone for myself." Shadow says in trying not to ask for help.

Diamond smiles a little more, "What kind of woman are you into?"

Shadow turns his attention back onto Diamond, "What?"

"What kind of woman are you into?" Diamond repeats herself.

Shadow turns away again as he thinks. This is the first time that someone has asked him in what kind of woman that he is interested in. He does like Diamond's personality, but she has grown too soft. He doesn't want someone who will be soft. He does like women with blonde hair and can defend themselves. Shadow looks at Diamond and begins to say, "I like women who are able to defend for themselves and aren't soft."

"Well, all women are soft in their own ways. You can't stop that from happening." Diamond says half-jokingly.

"I also like women with blonde hair."Shadow says with pride.

"With blonde hair?" Diamond raises an eyebrow.

Shadow nods at the question.

Diamond nods as well, but a bit more slowly, "Ok, interesting choice. I am sure that we can certainly find a woman for you who is able to defend themselves and has blonde hair."

Shadow smiles at Diamond understanding. He can now probably tell someone everything and they can understand. He begins to say, "I want a woman who isn't afraid to show herself off and say what is on her mind."

Diamond smirks, "Oooo, Shadow the hedgehog does have a type. A tough girl is what I am hearing."

Shadow nods with his smirk, "Yes."

The waiter walks over to the duo. He looks at the 2 before asking, "What will you guys be having?"

"We will be a to go order actually, I would like the mango and pineapple swirl." Diamond said.

Shadow says afterwards, "I would like a black coffee."

"A mango and pineapple swirl and a black coffee to go. What sizes?" The waiter asks while writing down the information.

"A medium for me." Diamond says.

"Small." Shadow answers.

"Alright, I will bring out your orders once it's done." The waiter walks away from the duo.
