"Have You Fools Learned Nothing"

I woke up and all I could see was the moon shining through the thick, dark woods. I looked around and realized I had no idea of where I was or how I got here.

Come to think of it, I couldn't remember anything. Not even my own name.

I stood up and took in my surroundings once again. All I could hear were the sounds of chirping crickets and it was kind of calming.

I looked down and noticed my ripped up nightgown that I could tell used to be white and nice but now appeared dirty and ripped up.

I looked back up once I heard the sound of a twig breaking in the distance. I looked around and saw nothing when all of a sudden I was harshly pushed up against a tree. I was shocked to say the least. I opened my eyes to see a boy around 16 or 17 with blonde hair and brown eyes.

I took in his appearance which was well covered with his black cloak. Thanks to the moon I could see most of his facial features. Something that caught my attention most was the scar that ran from the inner corner of his right eye and curved down to the middle of his right cheek. His cheek bones looked as if I could slice my finger upon a single tap.

After I took in his features his eyes seemed to widen and he dropped me instantly.

"It's a girl!" The boy who had me held against a tree not even 10 seconds ago exclaimed. Many other boys came from the woods and had shocked faces as well.

I looked around and counted more than 15 boys.

"Why would Pan bring a girl?" Another boy asked.

"He obviously had a reason. Have you fools learned nothing from your time being here? You shouldn't be questioning him." The first boy said angrily. He then looked back down to me and harshly grabbed my arm once again.

"Now listen to me sweetheart. We're taking you back to camp and you are going to keep your mouth shut until we get there. Do you understand?" He said, his eyebrows furrowed. I simply just nodded as I didn't want to make him angrier.

He let go of me and two other boys came up behind me and grabbed on to my arms. I didn't even bother fighting them because I knew there was no point.

I sort of zoned out until I was thrown on the ground. It took me a minute to take in my surroundings.

The first thing I noticed was the small fire that was currently dying down in the middle of everything. There were a bunch of cute little treehouses scattered around a bit. There were trees around the camp but I noticed the little trail to my left. I wondered where that led to. But the main thing I noticed were the two feet standing in front of my face. I looked up to see another boy, one of which I hadn't seen before.

As I saw him I quickly stood up and looked directly into his emerald green eyes, which I knew was a bad sign.

They were dark and full of lust. Not in a sexual way, but in a mysterious way. A way that made me want to know more about him. A way that kind of scared me a little bit but at the same time made me feel bad for him. He was broken.

"Well hello there sweetheart." Ugh, I hated that name. That was the second time since I've been here, which I'm not sure how long that's been but I know it hasn't been long.

"Who are you?" I asked directly looking at him. That was the first time I had spoken and my voice was dry and raspy.

"Who are all of you? Where am I?" I asked looking around at the other boys standing around and taking other glances around the small yet homey camp.

"Pan. Peter Pan."  The emerald eyed boy stated. I took the free moment of silence to look over his features.

His wavy hair was a very light almond brown and it suited is face. His skin looked sort of pale and it looked as though it just glowed in the moonlight. I took a look at his outfit which was very.. green. I'm not gonna lie, this Peter Pan was very attractive. Wait.. Peter Pan? The name sounded so familiar.

"You like what you see princess?" Peter snapped me out of my thoughts and my face flushed as I realized I had staring for a bit too long.

"Huh?" I asked cuz it looked like he was waiting for some type of answer from me, so I could only assume he had asked me something.

"I'm Peter Pan and these are my lost boys. You, darling, are on Neverland. Do you remember anything? Such as a name or how you got here?" His thick British accent suited his appearance.

I though for a moment to see if I could remember anything yet. Spoiler alert, I didn't.

"No, I don't. Why can't I?" I asked, confused as to why I couldn't remember anything.

"Thats a story for another time. Your name will come to you in time, not too sure about any other memories but you will remember your name at some point. I think for now you need to get some rest. Felix, take her to her hut." He demanded.

Felix, the boy who had me against a tree (I will not forget that.. that really fucking hurt) took me to a small hut that was on the opposite side from the small treehouses, which was the way Peter and some of the other 'Lost boys' went. A few others followed us.

Felix stopped at the third hut in the long row of many other huts and opened the door for me.

"This is where you'll sleep from now on, don't think about trying to escape. Pan obviously has you here for a reason, based on the fact that your the only girl who has ever stepped foot on Neverland." He said, his head held high. This kid was so full of self esteem. I didn't like it.

"Why?" I mumbled.

"What was that?" Felix asked loudly.

"Why me? Out of every girl in the world Peter chose me. Why? And why can't I remember anything?" I asked. I had so many questions but I was too tired for too much information.

"First of all, I suggest referring to him as Pan, in front of him anyway. Second, like he said, information including why you can't remember anything is something he'll explain later on." He paused and looked at me, making eye contact. I could see his eyes soften a bit.

"And as to why your here and why your the only girl, I don't think anyone knows. Pan does everything he does for a reason, whether it makes sense or not. I suggest you get some rest now." He nodded his head as a way of saying goodnight and walked out of the hut closing the door.

I turned around and noticed the small cozy bed and a nightstand right beside it. But what caught my attention wasn't either the bed or the nightstand, but the chest that was located at the foot of the bed.

I kneeled down and took a better look at it. It was locked, but that's what made the chest so mysterious. I was too tired for anymore questions so I got up and layed down in the bed. It was surprisingly comfortable.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep with the events of the night replaying in my head. Along with the reoccurring thought why the name Peter Pan sounded so familiar to me.
