My Boyfriend's Brother - Chapter 6

Hailee's POV

It was December 24th and everyone was inside and busy. I was helping Jenny in the kitchen preparing the food and setting up the table for tonight. I kept glancing at Damian while he was fixing the lights. I didn't notice I was staring at him for long. He turned to me and I quickly looked away and blushed I hope he didn't notice that.

Time skipped

We were all done with everything and it was all set. I felt exhausted so I took a nap upstairs. When I woke up I prepared my outfit for tonight and so was Kevin.
I took a good hot shower and dried my hair. I put on my make up and tied my hair up. I was wearing a knee length purple assymetrical dress that exposed my left shoulder. I look okay I thought.
"You're ready now Babe?" Kevin asked.
"Yeah just a second." I replied and I took one last look in the mirror.

Kevin and I walked down the stairs to the living room . Everyone was there already . Damian was talking to Theo and Jack when he turned ,his eyes stopped at me. I smiled at him and he smiled back . His smile was so sweet and captivating and he looked really good in his outfit.
"Babe. "Kevin said and I looked at him
"Come on ."he added , i took one look at Damian and he was back talking to Theo ,then the doorbell rang.
"Oh I think it's her." Damian said as he went to open the door. "Her?"who could it be? Is he seeing someone right now? I asked myself and my heart skipped.
Damian opened the door and revealed a beautiful woman wearing a skin toned dress. I admit she looked really beautiful, but who is she?. Damian kissed her cheek and I think everyone knew her because they all hugged her except me.
"Oh I want you to meet someone." Damian said as they walked towards me.
"Stefanie , this is Hailee Steinfeld my brother's girlfriend, Hailee this is my friend Stefanie Scott ." Damian introduced us.
We shook hands and they looked so close when they talk. Are they really just friends or more?

We all sat at the table. I sat with Kevin and Damian sat with Stefanie across us and they were talking to each other like there's no tomorrow. We celebrated Christmas eve together.
I felt really bothered between Damian and Stefanie's interaction. I admit, I was jealous as hell. I didn't talk that much during the night. I know I didn't have rights to be jealous but I couldn't help it so I just sat there and eat.

Damian's POV

We were having Christmas dinner and I invited my friend Stefanie Scott over. We were bestfriends since we were kids, we're like brother and sister. My family knew her since we grew up together and she live down a few blocks. I noticed Hailee seemed quiet, she just sat there and ate with us. Maybe she's just not in the mood or something, but I admit she looked really gorgeous tonight. She looked so beautiful in her dress, it showed off her curves, the way she smiles and how she tied her hair up really showed her beautiful face. I tried to contain myself from blushing everytime our eyes met. She's my brother's girlfriend , I shouldn't be checking her out that's so wrong, so I kept myself occupied with Stefanie.

Hailee's POV

After the dinner , I took a glass of wine and stepped outside to their backyard. I could still see them through the glass wall and Damian hadn't talk to me at all as he was busy with Stefanie . Of course, what was I expecting , I'm his brother's girlfriend.
"Hey Hailee." I turned to see Brianna.
"Oh hey."I smiled.
"What are you doing out her?"she asked.
"Just getting some air."I replied.
"Is everything okay, you seemed a little quiet back there."she questioned.
" uhm Brianna, can I tell you something just between us girls? Maybe you can give me some advice?"i said and she furrowed her eyebrows.
"Sure, you can tell me anything." She assured.
"I know you might think this is weird and wrong but I think I'm inlove with someone else." I started.
We stood there for a moment of silence.
"I think I know who you referring to." She started and she turned her head to look at Damian. I didn't say anything and I just lowered my head. Am I too obvious for her to notice who I was talking about.
"You noticed it?" I asked and she smiled.
"Hailee I'm a woman too. I see the way you looked at him and you glance at him from time to time." She added and I sighed.
"I didn't expect this believe me. But when I met him I knew there was something. I tried to stop myself from falling because I'm with Kevin , but the more I stop myself , I realized I'm falling inlove with him even more."I continued. "I want to be fair with Kevin."

"I don't know Damian that much but I know he is a relly nice man. I have  no doubt that girls would fall for him easily but I didn't expect you would be one of those girls. All I can say is , there is nothing wrong with you're falling for him but he is your boyfriend's brother and I have to be honest that is a lot to process right. There's nothing wrong if you follow what your heart says, you just have to be careful with your actions and make sure that no one is gonna get hurt and you're right you have to be fair with Kevin." Brianna said and I thought of what she said.

"Thak you so much Brianna. Please don't tell anyone about this." I said.
"I won't, your secret is safe with me and I know you'll do the right thing." She said and she hugged me. How can they be so nice to me. We went inside since it was freezing here. After a catch up with everyone in the living room everyone bid their goodnight and I went to the bedroom with Kevin. Everyone was excited for tomorrow and I already put their presents under the treez I went to bed and I quickly fall asleep.
