peter parker. the name all too familiar to the one and only y/n stark. she had been friends with the brunette ever since they went to kindergarten along with elizabeth (betty) brant, and ned leeds, their individual best friends.
see, at that time, peter knew y/n as y/n l/n, not y/n stark. her identity was heavily hidden until 4th grade, when her father was ready to tell the public about his daughter.
peter didn't take it too well, being in 4th grade of course, realizing he'd been lied to all his life by his best friend, he got over it eventually of course but it still hurt him a bit.
she had been with him through absolutely everything. uncle ben's death, helping may grieve, getting into midtown together, their conjoined 13th birthday even though y/n's was exactly a month after peters.
they had spent practically their whole life together, and told eachother absolutely everything, even peter's painstaking crush on liz allan in sophmore year.
peter was spiderman. only y/n and ned knew at that moment however.
peter, mj, and betty were the only people ever that knew y/n was elementress though. not even her father. especially not her father.
you'd think tony stark aka iron man would be cool about having another superhero on his side right? yeah wrong. he actually tried to capture elementress before the war alongside the guardians of the galaxy.
of course now, he couldn't do anything. half of the entire universe had turned to dust, y/n, peter, and all their friends included. after all that, tony stark died.
neither y/n or peter took that very well. they spent weeks, possibly months grieving his death, until they understood there was more important things to worry about.
this occurrence left a hole in both of their hearts, begging to be fixed, filled, and healed.
for y/n, that healing was found in peter parker. she had a crush on him since 7th grade and couldn't seem to let go of it, even when liz and him went to homecoming together.
even when he almost died, and when he basically did die.
and even when mj told her she had a crush on him in freshman year and never brought it up again.
peter's healing was found in mj. Michelle Jones-Watson. y/n's best friend.
she felt like she had been stabbed directly through the stomach when peter rambled on for almost an hour about how perfect mj was after confessing his feelings about her to y/n.
she could barely handle it, and faked sick to get back to the tower instead of staying over; except she actually did throw up. not out of disgust, but out of jealousy and pain.
it's currently the last week of summer, right before what was supposed to be their junior year of high school but instead having to take sophomore year all over again courtesy of the blip.
y/n is sick of having to deal with mj's newfound insane crush on the same boy y/n had been in love with for years, knowing he reciprocates her feelings.
she knew deep down that something would happen between the two, and no matter how much she didn't want it to, it would eventually become true.
so for now, she had to just suck it up and deal with it as to not hurt anybody, cause that's not what a hero does, is it?
however, she had a really bad feeling about the upcoming years of highschool, but she couldn't put her finger on it.
