The Necklace

 Mathilde dances with joy throughout the party, as a group of girls give her death stares with jealousy. She walks towards a corner for a break, and a waiter walks towards her asking if she would like a drink. Meanwhile, Mathilde's necklace had fallen down as she was dances. The group of girls who were staring at her got up from their seat and ran towards the necklace fallen down and picked it up. They stared at it like it was the most precious thing they had every seen. Back to Mathilde, she happily takes one of the drinks and continues to dance. At midnight after everything ended, she walks out of the palace, and finds that the necklace she was wearing was no more on her. She searches in shock as the group of girls come cat walking to her. The leader says "Looking for this?" "he-hey where did you get that from?" The girl replies "oh it was fallen on the ground" "Oh, okay thanks you found my necklace" "Your necklace? I found it so its mine now" Saying that she flips her hair and walks out of the palace. Mathilde tries catching up to them to get the necklace back, but trips, she watches the girls go in their porch carriage, as a drop of tears comes out of her eye. She weeps in the ground thinking of how hard life is going to be. Mathilde's friend who lent her the necklace, notices Mathilde and walks towards her "What's wrong Mathilde?" "I-I am sorry" "huh why?" Mathilde's friend picks her up and walks her to Mathilde's house. Mathilde's friend asks Mathilde on what's wrong but she does not respond. She calls her husband, and once he arrives they have a talk, with Mathilde being all quite and the other two not understanding the situation. Finally, due to both of them asking so much Mathilde speaks up, she says just four words before her friend becomes raging mad. "I-I lost you neckla-" "WhAt!? You did what!?" The husband replies to her "sh-she lost the necklace" "I heard that!!" The lady gets all mad about the lost necklace even though she knows that the necklace is not a real diamond. "You have to pay me for this, and Mathilde I will never forgive you" "We-we are so sorry" Just then Mathilde's friends husband walks into the room saying "Where is there so much of noise coming from this room, oh hey man" he suddenly changes his tone looking at his best friend. As the wife whispers to herself "Oh no..." The husband says "We are so sorry, we lost your wives diamond necklace" The husband says "huh which one? I don't remember buying a diamond necklace, oh wait dear is it the one you got from Angel?" "Y-yes" she says stuttering. "Aww dear don't you know its not a real diamond it only cost 300 francs. Mathilde's friend gets shy "oh, really? I'm sorry I dint know" saying that she walks out the room. Mathilde gets up from her seat and walks towards the man with her husband, she says "Sir, can I please have a moment? "Oh please Mathilde don't call me sir, and sure" he walks out the room and Mathilde turns towards her husband. "I am so sorry, I have been very greedy, and selfish you have been earning so hard for me but I have always been rejecting you love. I would like to start having morning shifts so that we can have our lives go easier, In the morning we both can leave for work and then I come back in the evening make dinner as you come back to and at night we both can have an each other time. But for now can you please pay him 300 francs? I know you have been saving up for a gun, but please I owe them, and later I will give you back your money" The husband gives a healthy smile and walks towards his friend giving him 300 francs and has a small talk. Then he walks towards his wife and says "Come on lets go shopping" They both walk happily towards the door.
