"And after that, the firework shot up in the sky which distracted me from my commission! Luckily it distracted the samurai as well. I was able to get some hits on him while he was admiring the light show."

Yoimiya told the girl next to her all about her day as they were baking some holiday treats.

"But enough about me. How was your day, Y/n?" The blonde asked with a smile on her face. One no one could get enough of.
.
"It wasn't too eventful. Commissions and whatnot. I did run by the shrine today. Yae gave me a copy of her latest book cause she wanted an opinion on it. So I need to read that at some point."
.
"We're still gonna bond tonight, right? Just like you promised?" Yoimiya looked at the girl next to her with a hopeful smile.

"Of course! I can always read the book some other time. Tonight is just about us!!" Yoimiya clapped her hands in an excited manner at Y/n's response.
.
"I'm super excited! We haven't had the chance to settle down together in a while ever since the samurai turned on the Shogun, choosing to cause trouble. Everyone has had their hands full with them recently."

Y/n nodded in agreement. "It's really unfortunate for the Shogun as well. At least she still has quite a few loyal samurais." Y/n replied.

"Oh! The hot chocolate is ready!! Can you get me two mugs please?" Yoimiya requested.
.
Y/n grabbed the cups and sat them down for her girlfriend to pour the sweet, warm liquid in the mugs.

"How are those gingerbread cookies coming along?" Yoimiya asked, trying to fill the current silence.
.
"They look great! Only four more minutes until they're ready. Then we can settle down for the day."
.
"Awesome! I'll go set up a space by the fireplace for us."
.
And with that, the hyper girl rushed out of the room to prepare.

Y/n yawned and stretched her back, sighing with pleasure as the tense muscle finally softened up.

The oven beeped, signaling the gingerbread were done being baked. Y/n put on mittens and pulled out the tray, setting it down as steam rose from the freshly baked goods.

Yoimiya rushed into the kitchen, sniffing the air to catch a whiff of the cookies.

"They smell amazing, Y/n! I can't wait to try them!!" Yoimiya reached out to grab one but was stopped by Y/n's hand.
.
"They're too hot right now. You'll need to wait a little!" Y/n laughed and kissed the girl's forehead.
.
"Awh. How long?" Yoimiya pouted.
.
"Five minutes. You can wait that long, right?" Y/n asked.
.
"I guess. Anyways, why don't you come check out the cozy area I prepared for us?" Yoimiya smiled and grabbed Y/n's hand, silently signaling for the girl to follow her.

"Why not? You always make the nicest areas so I suppose it would be in my best interest to check it out!" Y/n smiled.

"Great!" Yoimiya dragged the girl to the area, "Tada! You can choose whatever side you want! They're both the same." Yoimiya stood proudly with her hands on her hips.

"It's amazing!! Why don't we go get the cookies and settle down here?" Y/n suggested to which Yoimiya agreed and went to help her lover.

Y/n fell asleep next to the fire, Yoimiya about to drift off as well. Both girls were cuddled up under the huge blanket.

Moments later, Yoimiya went to sleep. The house was quiet, with the only noise being the crackling coming from the fireplace.
