A Shadow's Diamond

Chapter 13

Natalia leads Shadow through crowds of people to a circle of where musicians are playing cultural music. Each music is associated with different cultures. Natalia walks over to a group of musicians with a smile, "¿Pueden ustedes, caballeros, tocar una canción romántica, por favor?" (May you gentlemen play a romantic song, please?)

The gentlemen look at each other before looking at Natalia and agreeing. They start to play the music.

Natalia brings Shadow into the center of a circle that is formed by everyone. People began to start joining in the music as it plays.

Shadow looks at Natalia, "What do I do?"

"Have you never bailado before?" (danced) Natalia raises an eyebrow.

Shadow shakes his head, "Never did before."

"Pobre alma, I sympathize you." (You poor soul) Natalia puts a hand onto Shadow's shoulder as she guides Shadow's hand to her lower back. She inches closer to Shadow as she speaks, "Just follow my lead."

Shadow nods as he watches Natalia take the lead. He felt his feet move in a circle as his other hand is touching Natalia's free hand.

Natalia starts swaying her hips as she moves her feet to the rhythm of the music. She tries to make sure that Shadow is able to keep up. She pushes away from Shadow and twirls before pressing her back against Shadow. Dancing to her heart's content before bringing Shadow back into the dance and helping him learn the movements.

Both feet move to the music as the couple danced. Shadow watched Natalia dance happily as he tries to learn. He never danced with someone before, and he thinks that Natalia isn't dancing in her culture so that Shadow can learn how to dance. He tries to keep up with her as he soon smiles a bit. This is starting to become fun. He doesn't regret in coming here thanks to Blade and it's all thanks to Diamond for bringing Blade over to him and for all of this to happen. No one has done this before for him, he knows that Sonic and he get into fights for the stupidest things that involve around Sonic but being here. Being with Natalia, it means everything to him. He danced with Natalia for almost an hour until Shadow hears a familiar voice:

"Has anyone seen a blue, emo, or white hedgehog anywhere?!"

Shadow could recognize that voice anywhere. It was Scourge. He was more than positive that he was locked up thanks to Ray and Olympia.

Natalia stops dancing with Shadow. She says to herself, "¿Un erizo emo?" (An emo hedgehog?) She looks over at Shadow and puts 2 and 2 together. She stares into Shadow's eyes, "Escond." (Hide).

Shadow looks at Natalia, "What?"

"Hide, I think that he is looking for you. You have to go hide; I will come for you." Natalia starts pushing Shadow through the crowd of people and into the haystack that she originally jumped into. She says to Shadow, "At least hide in here until he is gone."

Shadow pokes his head out of the haystack, "I am not some weakling."

"And I am not going to let someone that I have just met deal with someone who is ruining the festival, now sit there." Natalia turns away and walks back through the crowd of people.

Shadow pouts before hiding the haystack. He isn't sure if Natalia will come back for him or not, but now he just has to wait for Scourge to leave.

Natalia walks back into the center of the circle to see Scourge looking around.

Scourge spots Natalia and walks up to her, "Excuse me, have you seen any of these 3?" Scourge shows Natalia pictures of Shadow, a blue hedgehog, and a white hedgehog.

"Lo siento, no hablo inglés." (Sorry, I don't speak English.) Natalia says while crossing her arms. Her voice stays a bit seductive.

Scourge puts the pictures away, "Sorry to waste your time, but." He grabs a hold of Natalia's face. He inches closer to her, "I think that you do, you are only hiding it from me."

Natalia grabs a hold of Scourge's hand and takes it off her. She looks into Scourge's eyes, "Solo un tonto le mentiría a un hombre guapo como tú. Solo soy una mujer pequeña que parece que no puede sostenerse sin un hombre fuerte." (Only a fool would lie to a handsome man like yourself. I am just a petite woman who can't seem to hold herself up without a strong man.) She flutters her eyes as she turns around while holding onto Scourge's hand, "¡Si tan solo pudiera salvarme de mi aburrida vida de fabricación de joyas!" (If only I can be saved from my boring life of jewelry making!).

"You are certainly a temptress." Scourge smirks as he walks up to Natalia and puts a hand onto her hip. He leans into her ear, "I will gladly take you instead."

Natalia stops acting as though she is defenseless and quickly turns around. She knees Scourge in between the legs as she watches him fall onto the ground in pain. She lets go of Scourge's hand as she walks away, "Alguien llama a la policía, hay un intruso entre nosotros." (Someone call the police, there is an intruder among us.) She walks through the crowd of people while watching the bigger guys walk towards Scourge. She smirks as she hears Scourge screaming out in pain. The act worked; it brought out the bigger guys. She walks up to the haystack and speaks more seductively, "I can tell that there is a man in here who is looking for my attention. Mind coming out my guapo hombre." (handsome man)

Shadow pokes his head out and says, "I may not know what you are saying, but I can tell that it's referenced towards me."

"I only have ever called you my guapo hombre. My padre don't count." (handsome man; father) Natalia rolls her eyes at the father part. She grabs a hold of Shadow's hand in the haystack and helps him out. She looks into Shadow's eyes as she smiles, "Want to come meet my 10 siblings?"

Shadow smiles at Natalia, "I do have a motorcycle that we can ride on."

"Then let's go." Natalia pulls Shadow into the crowd as they hear Scourge in pain from being beaten.

They walk through the crowd as they reach the station that the female kitsune is at. They grabbed some food from her station while leaving some rings behind. They head over to Shadow's bike and get on. Shadow turns on his bike while Natalia holds onto him from behind.

Shadow drives out of the parking lot as Natalia points out the directions into getting out of the festival.

The duo drives off to Natalia's house in which Shadow has yet to meet all 10 of Natalia's siblings.

I hope you guys like Natalia. I was originally going to make Shadow be with Diamond, but then I switched the script and went with Natalia since she would be more interesting than someone who is much older than her. Natalis is only 16, so that everyone knows.
