On the warm summery afternoon of August, the sunlight shone above the city of Paris. The wind blew through the window and blew along the curtains. In the background, you can hear people walking by, bicycle bells ringing, and people chatting in the distance. The sounds wake up the cat—the cat sitting by the window, sleeping around the pillows and blankets. The cat slowly gets up and walks gently to the balcony. Looking through the rail, she wishes she could roam around Paris.
In the small apartment, it was bright and warm. There was only one bedroom and one bathroom. The two rooms belonged to the owner. The cat would get into big trouble if she were in any of those two rooms. The cat's "room" was the window. The window was the cat's little territory where no one was allowed to be, except her. In the window, it had long and silky curtains with fluffy pillows like cotton candy. The cat would stay there because not only was it her favorite spot, it had a view of Paris and the breathtaking Eiffel Tower. The cat once attempted to escape from the front door; however, she was caught by her owner.
"Estée!" yelled Céline in the distance. The cat perked up. "Eat your lunch!" Céline told Estée. She ran to her food bowl to eat her favorite kibble of chicken and salmon.
Estée was her name because it was a shortened version of Céline's sister's name, Esther. Esther was a cat lover. She adored cats and it was her favorite animal. Esther died in a car crash and the name Estée was supposed to resemble her.
"What were you doing by the balcony? You know you are not supposed to be by there," said Céline. Estée rolled her emerald green eyes and looked back to eat her kibble. Céline glanced at the clock, "Oops, got to go!" said Céline. Estée walked near the door, waiting for her owner to pet her goodbye.
"Goodbye Estée, see you later!" Céline spoke to her.

After Estée saw Céline go, Estée ran to the balcony. She felt sneaky and knew it was her chance to leave. Estée went through the railing and climbed onto the leaves dangling. Crash! Estée tripped and fell into a garbage pile. When she landed, her eyes lit up and she felt a sense of freedom. "Finally!" Estée said in her mind. Estée was amazed when she saw the buildings she had never seen before. When she was walking, she saw the large Eiffel tower. Her eyes sparkled when she looked up. She was speechless when she saw it up close. Nearby, she saw big poodles. The dogs barked when they noticed Estée. They instantly start to run toward her. The humongous dogs chased after her around the city and Estée ran as fast as she could, trying to escape from them. When she was running, she could not know where she was going. She took a turn and the dogs lost her.
Later, Céline came back home and called out, "Estée!" She was nowhere to be found. Céline called out to her cat again, but no answer from Estée.
"I know you're hiding, just come out." She yelled.
Céline later freaked out and told her friends on her cellphone and made a post about Estée.
A while later, Estée found herself in the forest. She was wandering around the trees, trying to find her way back. Estée stopped and sat down near a tree, sobbing when she could not find her way back home. All of a sudden, she hears a strange noise in the distance. She saw a shadow that crept behind her. A big cat comes out and starts biting her tail. Estée cries out for help; however, no one answers. Suddenly, a hare pops out of the bushes and comes out to help Estée. The mysterious cat saw the hare and also captured the hare.
"Start biting the arm of the cat, it will maybe run away." explained the hare in pain. Estée and the hare bite the cat with their sharp teeth. Fortunately, the cat shrieks and runs back to the woods.
"Are you okay?" asked the hare. "Yeah, I am," answered Estée. "Who are you, anyway?" Estée questioned. "My name is Benjamin the hare." said the hare."My name is Estée," Estée said.
As they were walking around the woods, they felt a sudden shake. The forest's ground was shaking so hard that it felt like the ground was a tambourine. They ran as fast as possible, trying to find a safe place to stay. Eventually, they ran into an old cabin. They went under a table and thought the house was vacant. However, they heard a whisper in the distance. A strange lady comes out of the shadow and tells them to stay under there. When the earthquake was over, they both asked who the lady was. She looked like a witch with pale, white skin and frizzy hair.
"I am Ms. Fabre, may I offer you some tea?" the lady asked. "Uh, sure?" said Benjamin in confusion.
As they were drinking tea, Ms. Fabre asked, "Are you guys all right from the earthquake?" "Yes, we are." said both Estée and Benjamin simultaneously. "
When we were walking, we saw a huge, giant cat!" explained Benjamin. "Really? "What did the cat look like?" questioned Ms. Fabre. "The cat was light brown with bright yellow eyes," answered Estée. "That was Persefoni!" exclaimed Ms. Fabre. "You should be very careful of the cat as she has very sharp claws."
Minutes later, Ms. Fabre gave them a scooter. "You should have this, it will make it easier to escape if Persefoni ever comes across you again, along with easier transportation." Ms. Fabre kindly offered.
"Thank you so much," yelled Benjamin. After that, they were scooting around the ethereal forest trying to find shelter. Estée and Benjamin took a rest and looked at the green grass and rolled around it. They looked at the blue sky and looked at the big fluffy clouds. "Look! The cloud looks like a fish!" shouted Estée. "No! It's surely a horse!" Benjamin argued.
As they were laughing, the worries faded away from Estée when she looked at her surroundings and heard birds chirping in the background.
Later, they went back scooting through the cool breeze in the forest, finding shelter.
