Smoke filled the air in Himeno's large apartment, having sat at the table, lost in thoughts as she smoked away her life.

"Ey yo, you are here devil?" She asked after a while, putting her feet up on the desk and pushing back, head hanging back as she balanced her chair on two legs.

"Of course I am, I am tied too you for now." She lifted her head to see the suit wearing devil sitting on the table with her knees cross, leaning back on her hand as she was reading the back of a cigarette box. "You are killing yourself with this you know?" She said casually as both knew this.

"Well I was supposed to die last time, somehow you stopped time, made a contract and got me out of there." Himeno shrugged.

"Stopping time was easy, even if all the reincarnation of most devils have completely wiped their memories by this time, it is hard to forget a contract even in death, I just collected my prize with the future devil and had him make the future not happen thus the time stop, my contract with you was more precarious, lucky me you wanted to live enough to accept it."

"I suppose you are right, what devil are you even? I should turn you in for such abilities to modify existing contract."

"I can only modify those I touch directly, right now I could do nothing but if I grabbed your leg I could." She said, avoiding a question tho Himeno couldn't tell if it was on purpose or not.

She took one of her feet off the table, propping it on the chair she was in.

"You sure love to talk."

"You ask and I answer, isn't this how alliances work?"

"Yeah but devils are usually secretive."

"I have a bone to pick with devils, if telling you my ins and outs can help me get to my own goal so be it, I've never been shy to hide it." She finally set the cigarette packet down.

"Then what devil are you?" She asked again, wording it a bit differently.

"Eh." The devil shrugged. "I am a lot, con artist, contract, trickery, foul play, cheating, anything to do with humans lying to each other for their own gain with a promise, deal, contract, handshake, nod.... You humans only know me as the contract devil."

"And so, have a name?"

"Ay, long ago I guess I did but so much time in the void of existence robs living beings of their everything, I've long become nothing."

"Oooh I get to name you?" Himeno smirked making the calm devil grin, chuckling and waving her off as 'whatever'.

"We are stuck as long as I haven't freed the rest of my being from that hell so I suppose, since you humans do like naming things."

Himeno was quite enjoying this almost forced partnership more them she wanted to admit, in the few times she actually saw and spoke to the devil she didn't feel awkward or anything, it seemed like this devil actually had studied humanity and knew how to act... Unlike the devil that became the blood fiend or Denji himself.

"Taisho but I feel you'll soon get a nickname." She confidently said.

"Taisho? You are aware that that word means 'deal' right?"

"I speak Japanese yes but well, it suits your nature from what you told me."

"Go for it." The devil, now called Taisho, said, leaning her other hand back too, holding herself back with two hands, grinning with her sharp teeth. "Tho it was a chance meeting I still think I caught myself quite a good human to be tied too."

"Likewise." She didn't think this would be bad in the end, it was quite a beneficial devil contract, she just needed to help free her and find someone else that would host her and break down and let her control them. "Could have been a worst devil."

The devil laughed at her comment, oddly charming for a hellish creature.

Well Himeno felt bad for the future victim sure but not as bad as she thought she would, still a cynic that hid behind happiness, if the death of one could save many others then it wouldn't be that bad.

She had seen many of her buddies die and her heart was cold too it so someone she didn't knew dying didn't brush her the wrong way, it didn't even touch her.
