Sparrow's POV
I woke up and felt Fredrick cuddled up to me. It was a little cold. I sat up and got out of bed. The floor was a little cold so I put my slippers on. I quietly walked out of the room and went downstairs.
Scott and Lorrie were in the kitchen. They both were drinking coffee. I walked into the kitchen and said "good morning" "oh good morning. Want some coffee?" Lorrie asked. "Oh yea" I said. She handed me a mug and I walked over to the coffee pot.
I fixed my coffee and sat down at the table. I started drinking my coffee when I heard footsteps. They were fast and tiny. I knew it was Teddi running down the stairs.
I saw her run into the kitchen and when she saw me she ran over to me. She sat down in the chair beside me. "Daddy it's Christmas Eve!" She said happily. "I know!" I said back. "Mr. Scott let's us open our presents tonight!" She said.
That confused me.
"What do you mean?" I asked. "Oh well my family is Columbian. So we usually do a party at night and let my family visit. So tonight is gonna be a big night. And we open our presents at 12:00 tonight" Scott said happily. "Oh ok. That sounds fun" I said. I saw Scott nod and give Lorrie a sweet smile.
I then watched him give her a kiss on the cheek. They're soo cute. "Eww" I heard Teddi say. We all laughed at that. She's soo cute. "What's everyone laughing about?" Fredrick asked walking into the kitchen. He looked a little tired.
"Good morning honey" I said getting up and walking towards him. I gave him a hug then kissed his head. "Daddy why did you kiss him? Is he your friend?" Teddi asked. Shit. I looked towards Lorrie and she had a smile. Before I could explain Scott did. In not the best way possible.
"No that's your dads boyfriend!" Scott said happily. Well we know he supports. "Daddy you don't have a girlfriend?" She asked confused. "Um no. I have Fredrick" I said. I didn't really know how to explain it. "So you guys are like boyfriend and boyfriend?" She asked. "Yep" I said.
Teddi smiled and asked "I'm gonna have 3 dads?" "Yes you are!" Scott said happily. He lifted her up and put her on his shoulders. Aww. That's soo cute. Scott really is a nice guy. And he obviously want to take care of Teddi. But he also does love Lorrie. Which is good.
Time skip~
Fredrick's POV
It's almost time for Scott's family to get here. We're just decorating the house a little for for them. Lorrie said she wanted it to be presentable. Which is understandable. But right now Sparrow is helping Teddi put the last for ornaments on the tree.
And it's soo cute.
I was gonna go help them but I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around and it was Lorrie. "Hey I just wanted to let you know that I'm not trying to get back with Sparrow. He really does love you" she said in a serious tone. "Oh I know your not. He said you guys are in good terms. I'm fine with you guys being friends" I said.
I saw Lorries face change. She looked soo relieved. "Oh good. I didn't want you to be jealous or anything" she said with a slight chuckle. "Oh no. Sparrow explained everything to me. I'm fine. It's actually nice to see Sparrow playing with Teddi" I said reassuringly. Lorrie nodded and walked off to Scott.
"Mr Fredrick wanna come help me and my daddy hang up lights inside?" Teddi asked grabbing on my pant leg. "Oh of course. Come on" I said. I grabbed her and walked over to Sparrow. He's was trying to untangle the Christmas lights. Not gonna lie it was kind of funny. He's not the best at that kind of stuff.
I helped him untangle the lights and we started putting them up. Sparrow put Teddi on his shoulders. "Ok put the string on that side" he said. I heard Teddi start giggling and it was soo cute. Her and Sparrow's relationship is just wonderful.
Eventually Scott's family got to the house. Evan though there were a lot of people I still got to know everyone. And everyone was soo nice. They did keep offering me food. Scott said his mom doesn't believe in people going hungry.
Everyone was kind of doing their own thing. I was in the living room watching the kids play and adults talk. It was nice. All of a sudden I felt someone sit by me. He looked young. Like maybe 17-18. He gave me a look like he was trying to process something.
"So what's your relation to my uncle?" He asked. "Uh Scott?" I asked. He nodded. "Oh well I'm his girlfriend's ex boyfriend's boyfriend" I said. I realized how weird that sounded. "Look Um Teddi is your step cousin. Right?" I asked. The kid nodded. "Well I'm her real dad's boyfriend" I said.
The kid had a shocked look on his face.
"Oh I thought I was the only gay person here" he said. He sounded a little bummed. "Is that a problem?" I asked with a giggle. "Well I like to be out there you know. But I guess you can be out there to. You seem nice" he said.
Ok weird.
He then held his hand out and said "Anyways my name is Carlos" "I'm Fredrick" I said. He then brought my hand up to his mouth and kissed it. What the hell? "Excuse me? I said I'm with someone" I said. "I know. I'm just practicing my flirting skills. How is it?" He asked.
Oh lord.
"It's great. It's just, I'm taken. So go practice on someone else. That's not family" I said. "Ok. Bye bye" he said in a jokingly seductive tone. Oh my god. He is ridiculous. "What was that about?" Sparrow asked walking up to me. He didn't have a jealous look on his face. He actually let out a small chuckle.
"I don't know. Some kid named Carlos. He was practicing his flirting on me" I said. Sparrow just shook his head and said "weird" "I know" I said back.
Time skip~
Sparrow's POV
Eventually everybody started going home and we were gonna open presents. Teddi was soo excited to open her gifts. It was soo cute.
Me and Fredrick sat down on the love seat together and Scott and Lorrie sat on the couch with Teddi. But Scott was getting up to get presents for everyone. "Oh Sparrow. Did you wanna give Fredrick his gift?" Scott asked picking up my gift.
I nodded and said "oh yes. It's important" "alright here ya go" he said handing me the present. I gave it to Fredrick and watched him open it. "There's a picture in the necklace" I said. He looked in the necklace and I saw tears in his eyes. "I love it" he whispered.
I got him one of those necklaces that you can put pictures in. It was a picture of his little sister and his brothers ex girlfriend holding her baby. I thought it would be something to remind him of his home.
"Can I look in it?" Teddi asked. Fredrick nodded and handed her the necklace. "Who is that?" She asked. "That's his friend with her baby. And the other girl is his little sister" I said. Fredrick got up and hugged me tightly. "Thank you soo much baby. I love it" he whispered. "Good" I whispered back.
Fredrick then leaned over to the tree and looked around the presents. He found the one he was looking for and said "listen I had to go through a lot of trouble to get this gift" "that just makes it more meaningful" I whispered and kiss his cheek.
Fredrick then gave me my gift. I opened it and was honestly shocked to see what was inside. It was a pocket watch. But it was a real one. "I went to a vintage shop to get it. I also had to bring it to a guy to get it working again" Fredrick said.
I e honestly always wanted a working pocket watch. "Thank you. I've always wanted a working one" I said with a slight chuckle. "Your welcome. Come here" Fredrick said. I leaned over and gave him a hug.
This feels soo nice. Everything right now does. Everything right now is perfect.
