You stood there, staring at me with a smile across your face. In return, I smiled back at you and stood just a foot apart from you. My heart raced and my breath was hitched at my throat.

You looked up at me.

We continued to stare silently at each other and then unexpectedly you arms snaked around me in a hug, my breath released in a sigh and my arms wrapped around your shoulders, I felt your muscles flex at my actions.

You squeezed me into you even more causing me to rest the left side of my face up against the crown of your head, I could hear your racing mind. That's when my eyes filled with tears and the stinging sensation grew in my chest. Not because I didn't like it but because I've never felt the feeling of being loved by someone.

We separated and I reached for your face and held it between my hands. Your eyes were glued to my own, I dipped down low, your eyes closed as you realized what I was doing.

Our lips connected already in sync with each other. The kiss was soft and slow, each one of us trying to convey how we felt for each other, you pulled away from me. Your lips tinged pink and swollen. It was just you and me in the room and that's all that mattered.

Once again, we leaned into each other for another kiss, you smiled in between the many that transpired.

After what felt like an eternity, we backed away, you laughed and I smiled from your giddiness. Arms still wrapped around us holding each other close. My mind is full of lovely images of the both of us.

Hearts full of ecstasy.

I kissed you once more, an innocent kiss on the apple of your cheek. I leaned back, smiled and gave you a second kiss. Followed by a third, fourth and fifth. You laughed at my childish behavior but you knew each kiss held love.

I meant each and every one.

You stopped me and placed a hand on my face "Can I tell you a secret?" you whispered with a smile. I grabbed onto the same hand and turned my head to kiss your palm "You can tell me anything" I whispered back.

You leaned in and rested your forehead against mine, I closed my eyes. You sniffled and my eyes opened and connected with your teary ones. I reached and held your face in my hands. We stayed like that, breathing each other in.

"I love you" I confessed. You let out a small cry with a sad smile on your lips.

"I Lo–"

My eyes opened and were welcomed by the ceiling of my bedroom illuminated by the morning sun.

I turned to my right and faced your portrait on the nightstand. A knot formed inside my throat, "I know" I spoke to the room.
