Chapter 4: How Could You?

Your P.O.V

BAM!

The door was thrown open, and Kaoru was staring wide-eyed at Hikaru and I.

"U-Um... D-Do you guys w-want to be a-alone?" He asked awkwardly. Hikaru let go of me, walking over to his twin.

"It's fine, Kaoru. (Y/N) and I were just getting comfortable, is all." He smirked at me. "See ya, (Y/N)."

I gave a small wave, and the doors closed as the twins disappeared. I blinked, still in a daze from what happened.

D-Does he care more for Kaoru than me?

I immediately shook those thoughts away.

Of course he does! He's been with him far longer, and Kaoru is his brother!

I sighed at my childishness. Hikaru officially confessed, I know he cares about me.

But what if it was another lie?

The thought lingered in my head as I stepped out of the room. I gave a small smile to Tamaki, a wave to Haruhi, and ignored the twins. The rest of the hosts were busy, and I needed to think about this. Why would Hikaru completely leave me if he loves me?

Does he really love me?

Oh god, what if he doesn't love me?!

By the time I made it to the door, I was hyperventilating. I heard footsteps behind me, and someone grabbed my arm. I was spun around, Tamaki giving me a look of concern.

I smiled at him, reassuring him I was okay. He looked over at the twins, and I was sure I caught a glare given by Tamaki.

I yanked my arm away, my head spinning with thoughts as I imagined my worst nightmare.

What if Hikaru likes someone else?

I looked back once, to see one of the twins kissing Haruhi's cheek. But my brain refused to register which one it was. For it was thinking one thing.

How could you?
