Lily:
"Lily, dear grab my bag please," my mother shouts from the living room. We're currently packing to go to my Aunt Deedee's birthday party. I run into my parents' bedroom and I grab her bag.
The whole house is one big chaos, my dad packing tents since DeeDee wanted to sleep at a camping place with the whole family. My mom on the other hand packing everting from sandals to winter jackets. Abuela is cooking and making snack for what seems like a whole country.
"Got it," I shout back. We're staying at her winter cabin for the whole weekend, which is today and tomorrow. I jog down the stairs, and I throw the bag to my mom, I mean I'm in a hurry, were leaving in an hour and I still need to pack my stuff.
I swear I'm going to scream. I'm so excited. Her cabin is very closed off, but it's also near a lake and we will have the lake all to ourselves. The whole family on my mother's side is coming, so it's going to be a lot of people.
I jog back upstairs, to get the rest of my suitcases packed. I only have two. One for clothes and one for everything else.
Time is ticking and I just got done with packing. Now I need to help my family, do I ever get a break? I'll be sharing a tent with my two favorite cousins. I mean I love them so much.
We've been on FaceTime, most of the time when we packed but they live around 4 hours away from the cabin and we only live one.
"AHHHH the fire is on fire" Abuela shouts from the kitchen, we all rush to help her. When we all get there, there isn't a fire, only abuela on her knees laughing.
"Mama are you okay," my mom asks with genuine worry, Abuela tries to contain her laughter but fails miserably.
"Of course, fire is on fire. What else would it be on" She screams with laughter. She needs professional help.
"Jesus, mom you scared us" my mother shakes her head. I mean how she is not used to this yet.
"No, no don't leave. I have a joke" She stands up. She takes a deep breath before talking again.
"Did you hear about the Italian chef who died?" she giggles, again giggles. Oh, lord save me.
"No abuela, we haven't" I say rolling my eyes.
"He pasta-way" with that she collapses on the floor, laughing like a child.
"Is she on drugs" I turn to my dad
"She must be," he says, earning a slap on the arm.
We all walk away from the crazy drug lady laying on the floor.
I go back upstairs and I pick up my phone and laptop. I put them in my backpack so I don't need to find it in my suitcase. I know not so dumb huh.
I clean my room so it isn't a mess when I get back home, because it's the worst when you're tired and your room is a mess.
It doesn't take me very long since I'm a very organized person. I'm only joking my mom just cleaned it.
"Ma, when are we leaving" I shout from my room. Wait is it now I have my y/n moment.
"Mother, when are we leaving" I say shyly. Hiding my small face.
EW hated that.
"Ten minutes, so make sure you have everything," she shouts back, I grab both of my suitcases and I take them downstairs. My dad is loading stuff into the car, while my mom gets the rest of the bags.
I run back into my room to grab my backpack, and a blanket for the ride. Let the trip begin.
I jump into the backseat, since were taking my dad's car, because there isn't too many parking spots around the cabin. My mom and dad in the front, which leaves me stuck with Abuela.
