You giggled as you fell to the soft grass. Kirishima lay next to you on the meadow.
"That cloud looks like Bakugou," you said. "It looks like it's screaming internally."
"Totally," he agreed.
"And that other cloud looks like someone else I know."
"Who?" he asked. You picked a small daisy from above your head and placed it on his nose. "You." He blushed a little. "What? How?" he said, sitting up. "I don't know I just see it for some reason." He answered with a simple "Hm."
Small fibers of dandelions danced through the air. The fragrant spring air gave you both a feeling of pure bliss. You subconsciously twirled together a daisy chain.
"Here." You tilted his face towards yours and started messing with his hair. He immediately jerked away from you.
"WOAHH WHATCHA DOING!?"
"I'm fixing your hair," you said as if it was obvious.
"What's wrong with it?!"
Your eyes widened and started wandering, hinting at how bad it looked. He started to get more comfortable with you by the second. "There." You didn't even notice that his cheeks were a deep red. "Woah do you have a fever or something? Your face is starting to match your hair colour," you said while lifting his bangs to cup his forehead. He jolted and turned away from you, holding his flustered face in his hands.
"Hey you okay?" you asked, approaching him.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" he said, forcing a smile.
"Here."
You tied a white cloth around his forehead. It came to your surprise that he was able to stay still this time.
You leaned back against your arms, mind focused intently on absolutely nothing.
"Y/N," he said softly.
"Hm?"
"What's... love?"
You paused for a second. What did he mean?
"Umm... Did I hear you right?" you questioned. He didn't respond. He just sat there looking everywhere but at you. "Well... I've never really thought about it," you said quietly. "But to me, it's intimacy, a feeling of deep devotion to someone," you shared. "N/N?" he whispered, glancing over at you. You turned to your side. "What does it mean to be... in love?" he asked, facing you this time. You were scared about what might happen next. He inched closer to you. The butterflies in your stomach fluttered uncontrollably.
You took a breath and quickly pulled the cloth covering his forehead over his eyes. His surprisingly delicate lips ghosted over your slightly chapped ones before connecting in a warm embrace. You lowered your hands to your side. The brief moment felt like an eternity, somehow in an amazing way.
Your lips soon parted.
"I think... I'm in love with you."
