A year earlier.
The cold wind stung, it touched your face with the familiarity of a slap.
Oh how you were all to familiar with it.
Your hands clenched, as you pushed them down to your sides. You sighed, solemnly.
No matter what he says, he still needs me.
Your thoughts echoed all too loudly in your head as you began walking. Your breathing began to fasten, your eyes tickling with an unfamiliar wetness.
You finally arrived to where you had been searching for. You stared up at the massive structure before the feeling of some soft vibrations in your pocket.
You quickly pulled out the small device. With a message from your aunt.
Good luck darling! And don't worry, I didn't say a peep to your mother!
You had been in your aunts care for around maybe 3 years. She had carefully took you in and began parenting you as her own.
All due to that drunk fucker.
Your memories of your past family were still vibrantly in your mind. Sometimes, it was an unfortunate event.
As you walked up the steps and began into the plot, you gawked at the sight of the line.
So long—
Certainly they weren't all scheduled for the same plane to Tokyo as you, right?
Well, that was dead wrong, after ages, you finally got yourself checked in, just waiting on the time that was printed onto the paper in front of you.
You began to reminisce, your nerves getting better of you.
What if he's still there?
In all reality, you couldn't wait to see your mother. She had been the one to send you off to your aunt, for good cause.
As far back as you could remember, the picture of your father getting drunk and beating on your mother was ever so clear.
In some cases, when he was all too drunk, you were as well a victim of his beatings.
If my brother had been there... In the end—
A strong if.
Your brother had been detained awhile back, around the time you were both 13. You could still picture his cold, hardened eyes staring at you. His harsh voice telling you to forget about him. To live your own life, and act as though he didn't exist.
Which ultimately meant not putting any money in his account for phone calls, nor any ramen.
You did as he asked, only for so long. You had finally made enough money this summer to bail him out. And by god you planned on bailing him out.
The plane ride was long and excruciating, not what you'd have imagined. You always fantasized of what riding on a plane would be like. As you did not remember the plane ride from years ago, maybe it was a trauma response.
The ride had finally been over. And you were glad of that.
To be frank, you were nervous about seeing your brother again, your mother not so much.
You couldn't wait to see how he had grown in the past 3 years.
Your phone buzzed almost as soon as you had stepped off the plane. It was your aunt.
Darling, I just checked, and your brother was released awhile ago. He only served two years. Looks like you've got vacationing money!!!
Your aunt seemed all to excited to tell you the news. She loved shopping, and this aspect you took from her.
You typed out a reply, and quickly put your phone away.
Your brother had been released only a year ago.
Enough said, what exactly took place there? Well... you were there weren't you? Did you forget?
Allow me to remind you...
Uhmm well that was the introduction, was it alright?
