Appearance
(1st year) Asami is a slender teenage girl of average height with neck-length wavy black hair that has a slight parting in the middle. She has large light pink eyes which are half-lidded most of the time so it seems that she's bored and has a semi-large chest (C-cup). Is usually seen in her uniform which consists of a buttoned (all the way) light blue shirt with a striped tie, a grey skirt that reaches right above her knees, and instead of the normal white blazer she wears a grey cardigan. Adoring her feet are short white socks and black ankle-strapped platform shoes. She is sometimes seen with a piece of candy in her mouth. Other outfits change variously.
(2nd and 3rd year) Asami is a very fit teenage girl, with average height and upper back-length hair. Her bangs are dyed light pink and the back is her normal black hair which is usually in a bun. She has large pink eyes, and a large chest (E-cup). Is usually seen in her uniform: a buttoned (one button not done) light blue shirt with a ruby red necklace shaped into a heart gifted to her by Seijuro, a knee-length grey skirt, her cardigan, and black ankle-strapped platform shoes. . Other outfits change every time.
Personality
Asami is actually pretty chill and a little introverted but is still pretty popular among her peers for various reasons. She is known as Cupid around the school because she'll help anyone with whatever they need especially when it involves romance. Momoi kind of got the whole love thing stuck in her head so I guess she's into it too but just not as much as her pink-haired best friend. For as long as she can remember Asami has always been passionate about basketball and that grew once she met Aomine and Momoi. She becomes sly and confident when she does anything that involves basketball. Seems to carry an aura that makes her majestic and lovable. She honestly just shows a lot of different emotions.
After spending almost her time with the Miracles she's kind of influenced by them. For example, Seijuro's leadership, Tetsuya's bluntness, taping her fingers like Shintarou, Atsushi's huge appetite, Daiki's temper, and overdramatic like Ryouta.
History
Asami was born on a cold Christmas morning at Seibo Hospital in Shinjuku City, Tokyo, Japan to parents Maryanne and Jack Harlow. They were an ordinary family: a loving mother, a protective father, and a happy daughter...but that all quickly changed. One night parents, unfortunately, perished in an intentional car accident leaving their six-year-old daughter alive but orphaned. A close family friend by the name of Hinata Rintarou decided to adopt the young girl on behalf of his best friends and promised to look after her. He took her home, she gained a big sister, a new family, and a new hobby.
Momoi, Aomine, and Asami are childhood friends who used to play basketball together when they were younger. She met them at the age of 7. She is a trainer and another manager of the boy's basketball team in Teiko Junior High and the student council vice president.
