On my first day at Nevermore I flunked my math test. I was surprised to say the least, I mean I was an A+ student at public school but Nevermore was different. I was sent here because for some reason I'm a witch. My parents are regular old people though so it might just skip a generation? I'm not sure. But I miss my friends from my old school. My best friends Katie and Kennedy were miles away and I missed them both. Katie was sweet and had short blonde hair and green eyes, and Kennedy was like me. Both me and Kennedy are Asian and we were always extremely close. We both were also extremely defensive and slightly aggressive, but Katie evened us out. Katie could be a bitch too you just had to see her on a bad day. I know that if they were here they would tell me "y/n your great at math, you had a bad day now c'mon lets watch your favorite movie" Before I could add to my fake scenario where I was with my friends I was tapped on the shoulder. At first I nudged away trying to show that I didn't want to be bothered but the tapping persisted until I turned around to see who it was. He looked familiar but no name came to mind. He was very pretty, with his long hair down and he just sat there smiling, like a little kid on Christmas admiring his gifts. I am naturally defensive so I just flat out said "Why the fuck were you tapping me of my shoulder? Can't you see I'm having a bad day" He looked slightly sad, and I immediately felt bad. His eyes made me want to help him, hold him, make him feel better. But I was too closed off for that. "I'm sorry, I was going to introduce myself because its your first day. I'm Xavier" He answered. "Your okay, its just this school is so different from my last. Everything I knew was in Toronto and now I'm here with my friends and family miles away and I fucking flunked my first test. I'm sorry I snapped earlier I just... "
I was cut off when he said "This school is tough and I get it, being taken away from everything you know is tough. I went through it too"
"I feel like shit" I replied
He smirked and said " I mean we could always go watch a movie or something in my dorm to you know, cheer you up??" He said it nervously but he was trying to show himself as cocky. He wasn't good at pretending though, and I could tell.
"Are you seriously asking me out??" I said
"Consider it a chance to get to know each other, as friends" Xavier said with that big childlike smile on his face and I couldn't resist. So I agreed and before you know it we were walking to his dorm.
