- I'm home! - Oikawa called out after he stepped through the opened door, with Arūna hesitantly pursuing from behind.
- Welcome back! - a feminine voice, which arrived from the living room, replied. - How was practice?
- We didn't have practice since coach had a faculty meeting today, so we got the day off. - Oikawa remarked as he took off his shoes & jacket & placed on some pale green slippers. - Oh, and mum, I brought a friend over. She's the one I told you about a few weeks ago.
The woman inside the living room got up & moved towards the little corridor Arūna & Oikawa were in. She stood in front of them.
Arūna almost felt herself freeze, becoming stone cold as Oikawa's mother looked at her up & down with a slightly sour look. His mother was... gorgeous.
- She's the really smart one, and she helps me with physics.
Oikawa's mum smiled, melting Arūna's stone statue-like state. The girl quickly bowed with her hands pressing against her knees, feeling her face heat up a little.
- Hi—... Hello, ma'am. I'm Aikawa, and Oikawa asked me to help him with a few maths problems.
The woman standing in front of them set her hands on her hips & her smile instantly shrunk.
- Tooru! You should've reminded me that you'd be bringing over a friend! Now I don't have anything prepared for our guest! Dear lord... - the woman face-palmed. - Go clean your room and change while I prepare Aikawa some slippers and treats.

- Hurry up before our guest sees your stupid Stray Dogs shrine.
- That's mean, mum! - Oikawa exclaimed as he walked off to his room with a tired stance.
Oikawa's mother opened a drawer near the hanging coats & jackets. She pulled out three pairs of slippers & dropped them onto the floor while Arūna took off her shoes.
- Try these on. The slippers might not fit since they are different sizes, and hand your jacket near Tooru's. I'll go prepare some tea for you.
- Oh, that's not necessary! I'm fine, really, ma'am. - Arūna blurted, feeling her cheeks somewhat burn again.
- That's nonsense, dear. You're back from school, so you must be starving. Go join Tooru in his room until I call both of you to eat. Ah, and what tea would you like?
Arūna averted her eyes to the floor, staring at the dark green slippers she placed on.
- ...Fruit tea, if that's okay.
- That's perfectly fine. Make yourself at home. - the woman expressed with a smile before she headed off to the kitchen.
Arūna glimpsed at the mirror beside her, noticing her face was tinted with a pale pink colour. She pushed her cold hand against her warm skin, sighing. Arūna hung her jacket near Oikawa's & picked up her bag from the floor, then traced Oikawa's footsteps, which led to his room.
The girl knocked on the door & heard a loud "Come in!" pop up from Oikawa. Arūna entered his bedroom & closed the door behind her with a yawn.
She put her bag near Oikawa's & examined him, watching as he set away his uniform into the wardrobe. Oikawa had switched out of his formal attire into a black t-shirt & some casual trousers.
- Oh, Rūna'chan. - Oikawa noted after he turned around. - You could've just entered without knocking, you know.
- But that would've been rude.
