Chapter 35

Recap:

I giggled to myself and walked away. Justin and I were getting along so well, I thought this was going to be such a fun two and a half months.

But I guess once you’re at the top, the only way there is to go is downhill.

**

I woke up to unfamiliar surroundings and it took me a few moments to realize that I was on the tour bus. I turned to my side and realized that Justin wasn’t lying next to me, but there was a small folded piece of paper in his place. I picked it up off the pillow and recognized Justin’s messy handwriting.

“Hey babe, went to go do a radio interview, I will be back in a couple of hours. Love you lots

-Justin”

I sighed. Every morning I always looked forward to waking up next to Justin, and he was making it impossible. Oh well, it’s his career, not like he has a choice in the matter.

Today was our last day in Vancouver; we would be leaving shortly after Justin got back.

I noticed all my bags and stuff were in the small bedroom, so Justin must’ve brought all our stuff in here from the hotel. I was going to miss that room, especially the Jacuzzi tub…

I walked out of the room while tying my hair up in my pyjamas and slippers, I didn’t see the point of changing just yet since I didn’t think there was anyone else here, and I wasn’t planning on going anywhere anytime soon. I was wrong though. As soon as I stepped out I realized that Jasmine and Alfredo Flores were playing cards on the little table. They both looked up from their cards when they saw me and I cringed.

“Sorry guys, I didn’t know anyone else was here. I guess I assumed most of you would be with Justin.”

I crossed my arms over my chest, realizing that I wasn’t wearing a bra. I suddenly felt very self-conscious in my pyjamas and fuzzy slippers.

“It’s fine Tina, we don’t mind. Care to join us? We’re playing Go Fish.”

Alfredo said with a friendly smile.

“Yeah sure, I haven’t played Go Fish in ages.”

Jasmine scooted over so I could sit next to her, and I noticed that she was actually making an effort to be polite to me. It was a nice change.

“So where is Kaley?”

Jasmine asked, looking genuinely curious.

“Oh she’s still sleeping. She is a very late sleeper.”

“I can tell. It’s like, noon.”

“Yeah, she enjoys her sleep.”

Suddenly I heard a loud thump, and then a groan. It looked like Kaley was awake.

She walked into the room, rubbing her arm and looking pretty miffed.

“Ugh, I woke up because you guys were talking kind of loud and fell out of bed because I’m not used to that one. This is going to take some getting used to.”

I resisted the urge to laugh at Kaley, and turned back to Alfredo and Jasmine so we could continue our game. I was losing harshly, but I didn’t really care that much. I wasn’t the type to get super competitive over card games.

“So how long has Justin been out for?”

I asked casually.

“Oh he’s been gone for almost two hours so he should be back pretty soon, and then we are going to head off to the next place. Alberta this time.”
