Olivia's POV

My sneakers padded silently across the pine needle lain ground. Dark evergreen trees towered above me, creating a canopy of cool air. I bushed past a wall of lush ferns, and emerged into a meadow. It stretched into the distance, small wildflowers dotting the long green grass.

I walked up a slight hill, sitting hidden in the stalks under a large oak tree. I sighed in content as a gazed at the tranquil scene. I pulled out my sketchbook, drawing the picturesque scene. One thing was missing: color. Just like my life. It was dull, and I had nothing really to live for anymore besides my family.

I was sent to Rome to get over my heartbreak from my ex, Peter, and I honestly love it here. Lush meadows and bright blue skies, it was like paradise and I never wanted to leave. But, alas, everything comes to an end.

But also, everything happens for a reason.

Sorry for short first chapter, but it was just a filler to kinda set the scene. Next few chapters will be a bit more interesting! ;)
