Stella arose from a good night's sleep hoping to experience something new for once. Everyday for the past two years has looked the same. Wake up, get ready for school, eat breakfast, and say goodbye to her parents before they left for work. The only thing that differed were the stories her parents would tell her each night. Stories of new horizons to come for their civilization in space exploration. Stella's dad was particularly keen on astronomy and her mother in mechanical engineering. They worked together at a space station in building new rockets and gizmos to explore the unknown either with or without a crew. Stella aspired to be like her parents, but she had a different interest with the stars. To her, it had always seemed like they spoke to her, singing a song in unison while differentiating in many harmonies and dissonances like a choir. Stella spent her school days at home doing online schooling, mostly because society deemed her as an outcast and she knew she still needed an education.
