Accepting you (Sonadow)

Chapter 16

Shadow POV:

Sonic: Say Shadow, would you wanna maybe... go out for a run?

Run? Why would Sonic wanna do that suddenly?

Shadow: Why? Don't you wanna at least rest for a bit?

Sonic shakes his head and grabs my hand and pulls it towards the door to leave the house. He then gives me a quick wink and runs out the door laughing.

Sonic: Last one to the forrest is a rotten egg!

I look at him go and I smirk as I grab my chaos emerald and teleport to the forrest. I know, it's kinda cheating but he never specified how we're getting there anyways. I sit on a tree branch waiting for him to arrive and I jump off the tree once I spot him.

Shadow: *smirks* What took you so long?

Sonic: Huh?!? But I never saw you run here! I even took the quickest route! How did yo- oh. *Frowns* You cheated! You teleported here didn't you?

Shadow: *laughs* no I just know a quicker route than you. And even if I did teleport, you never said I couldn't.

Sonic pouts at me and I kiss his cheek to cheer him up a little. He then starts to blush and I find it cute. I grab him by the waist and suddenly carry him up and start running towards the pond to throw him in there.

Sonic: NOOOO NOT THE WATER!!!!

Sonic tries to get out of my grasp but i don't let him and instead we fall into the pond and he starts flailing around trying to swim out to land. I chuckle at his attempts and try to calm him down.

Shadow: Sonic relax, I won't let you drown.

Sonic: GET ME OUT OF HE-

I kiss him in the lips to calm him down and he looks at me in shock. I look at him and he's more relaxed now after the kiss.

Shadow: Blue, I won't let you drown love and I promise you it's fun swimming around the pond. At least give it a try.

Sonic nods slowly and then we start to have fun in the pond as he learns to also somewhat float around the pond and have some fun in the pond. After that we sit around the big tree next to the pond and we talk about our friends and such.

Sonic: Honestly i'm a little scared in telling everyone about this whole eggman thing.

Shadow : Why's that?

Sonic: I dunno... I feel like they won't see me the same.

Shadow: Sonic, I think your friends are caring enough to accept you no matter what happens to you.

Sonic: You're right. I mean you and Rouge don't hang around me as much as the others do but you guys still treated me the same no matter what. Even Tails did so there's nothing to worry about honestly. I guess I was just too worried about it haha.

We sit around skipping rocks for a bit and I ask,

Shadow: But I am curious, after all of this is set and done, would you rather stay the way you are now or just be one gender and only that one gender?

Sonic looks out to the sky and shrugs.

Sonic: To be honest, I kinda don't mind being both.
