A Shadow's Diamond

Chapter 19

Shadow lays down on the floor while blood covered his forehead. He slowly opens his eyes to see that Diamond is standing above him. He slowly gets up before he is forced onto the ground by a foot and a sword at his throat. He stares at Diamond who stands over him as he begins to speak out, "Diamond, it's me, Shadow. Your longtime friend."

"I don't have any friends." Diamond inches the sword closer into his skin.

Shadow stares into Diamond's eyes as he soon grabs a hold of the sword, "I am sorry to have to do this to you, Diamond, but I really wish that you were your old self again."

"That side is long gone; I don't need friends and I need to protect Eggman and Scourge." Diamond removes the sword from Shadow's throat as she turns the sword into a staff. She turns away before turning around and almost smacking Shadow in the head. She was soon stopped when she looked up to see 2 kittens holding onto the staff.

Snow and Petal holds onto the staff as they attempt to bring it away from Shadow.

Diamond turns the staff into a dagger as she jumps back a bit.

Shadow gets up while holding his throat as he looks at Snow and Petal, "What are you 2 doing here?"

"We overheard Dexter talking to Olympia and Ray, so we followed you guys here." Snow says as she walks in front of Shadow.

Petal jumps in front of Shadow, "We aren't going to let anyone to harm you nor Diamond!"

Shadow looks at the girls standing in front of him as he gets onto his feet. He walks in between the girls as he stares at Diamond, "We have to figure out a way to snap her out of it."

Snow thinks for a moment before answering, "She has mentioned to Dexter before if she has ever lost control to knock her out. We need to figure out a way to knock her out so that she can become herself again."

Shadow looks down at Snow, "You and your sister need to stop eavesdropping sometimes."

"Nope!" Petal says happily.

Snow says while focusing on Diamond's movements, "We need to make sure that she isn't moving, I have seen her fight. She won't stop until the person is dead."

Shadow stares at Diamond, "1 of you go get Silver while the other makes sure that they stay out of harm's way."

Petal waves her hands, "I will ge-"

Diamond gets kicked in the head as she gets sent back.

Shadow, Snow, and Petal looks over to see Natalia landing on her feet.

Snow points at her, "We found her walking around and we asked her if she can help us follow you for protection."

Natalia looks over to see Shadow and smirks. She walks up to him as she puts a finger underneath his chin, "Mi amor, you have sangre coming out of your head. Relax and let us girls deal with your friend." (my love; blood) Natalia turns around as she looks at Diamond who is getting back onto her feet.

Shadow says while looking at Natalia, "We need to knock Diamond out for her to not be controlled. She is currently being controlled by 2."

"Knocked out? Alright." Natalia starts walking towards Diamond. She says while beginning to sway her hips, "Go help the people who are dealing with a fat man."

Snow looks up at Shadow, "Me and Petal will help out. You stay here."

"I don't need instructions by a kid." Shadow stares down at her.

Snow and Petal run off and past Natalia who is staring at Diamond.

Diamond summons a whip and turns around as she sends it towards Natalia.

Natalia jumps out of the way and lands her feet. She looks at Diamond smirks, "Luchador." (Feisty one) She notices a silver hedgehog flying towards them. She points at him, "Hey Shadow, there is a silver hedgehog flying at us."

Shadow sees Silver flying towards him. He says aloud, "Silver! Make Diamond stop moving!"

Silver stops flying and uses his telekinesis to make Diamond stop.

Diamond begins to struggle in moving as she tries to move her arms.

Natalia runs up to Diamond and jumps behind her. Smacking a side of her hand against the back of Diamond's neck. She watches Diamond become limp.

Silver stops using his telekinesis as he watches Diamond fall onto the floor unconscious.

"I hate how much irony there is." Shadow says while staring at Natalia and Silver.

"Disfrutas de la ironía, Shadow." (You enjoy the irony, Shadow) Natalia winks at Shadow.

Silver looks at Shadow, "Sonic is dealing with Scourge."

"I got him." Shadow says as he starts walking, but once he took a step, he felt lightheaded. He falls onto 1 knee as he holds onto his feet.

Natalia runs up to Shadow and holds him. She looks over at Silver, "We need to take out the bala." (bullet)

Silver walks up to Shadow and uses his telekinesis to take out the bullet while trying not to harm Shadow. Once he removes the bullet, he tosses it to the side.

Natalia looks at Shadow while taking out a bandage and covering up the bullet wound.

"It wasn't deep in there thankfully." Silver looks down at the duo.

"I will help Sonic out with this Scourge, you stay with Shadow." Natalia gets onto her feet.

Shadow shakes his head, "I will be fine." He also gets onto his feet, but slowly. He looks at Natalia and Silver, go to the kittens. They will need help.

Silver nods and flies off after the kittens while Natalia stays behind with Shadow.

Natalia looks down at Diamond, "Someone needs to stay with her."

Shadow also looks down at Diamond, "Can you stay with her? She needs someone who will be there for her."

Natalia nods, "I can."

The base begins to become destroyed as certain windows become broken due to an explosion going on in the inside.

The duo heard Eggman scream out, "What is that green rodent doing?!"

"At least it's not just us causing trouble." Natalia says while staring at the building.

Shadow also stares as he smirks, "That is Sonic's doing."

Eggman growls in frustration until he gets hit with Amy's piko piko hammer and gets sent flying into the sky.

Amy and the others cheer as Sonic runs out of the building and smiles at the work that he caused. Luckily he was able to lose Scourge in the explosion.

The base soon explodes as Scourge is also sent flying into the sky.

Sonic looks over the place, "Where is Shadow?"

"With some wolf girl and Diamond's passed out body." Silver says.

Ray and Olympia begins to run off to find Diamond. Both saying at the same time, "Diamond!"

Everyone follows them as they approach Shadow and Natalia. They watch Ray and Olympia cradle their friend as Snow and Petal sits down next to them. Everyone else is walking towards Shadow and Natalia and meeting Natalia. Not worried about anything else.

~~Meanwhile~~

Infinite overlooks everything as he stares down at the group below.

"Our plan is coming along well. Eggman and Scourge are now out of the way, we can begin stage 2." A deep and demonic voice says.

"Yes and soon every last one of them will be bowing down to us." Infinite says while turning towards Mephiles.

Mephiles turns around, "Let's go before they suspect anything."

Infinite looks back down at the group before turning away and following Mephiles.
