Waves of sound vibrate all over my body, I see hands raised all around me, but I can barely hear the voices of the people cheering. Streaks of different lights envelop the dance floor, I scour the area with my sight, and I notice a man wearing a blue jacket to my right. He has long black hair, the sclerae of his eyes are red, and there is a white powder on the right side of his chin, stuck to his beard. I avert my gaze from him, and I take notice of the guards that are in this room.

I clear my throat "The lights are amazing, I should have come here sooner," I say, I hear a click inside my right ear "Good work, Sicarius. Now, eliminate the target without arousing suspicion," Vidya says through my earpiece. I reach into my left pocket, and I grab the cigarette along with the lighter I have. I light the cigarette, place it on my mouth, and I raise my hands while moving to my right through the crowd. I bump into the target, and the cigarette falls out of my mouth "Sorry, man!" I yell looking at him.

The target looks at me, and then at the cigarette "No problem, man! Can I take a puff!?" the target asks grabbing the cigarette, he takes it to his mouth "Sure, and you know what!? All yours, for bumping into you!" I yell, he inhales a large amount of smoke, and smiles at me "Thanks man, I needed this!" the target yells. I walk past him, and I pat him on his left shoulder. I make my way out of the club, the music suddenly stops, and I hear screaming from where I am standing in the reception. That sounded like his girlfriend "Great job as usual, Sicarius. Leave the club, and return as soon as possible," Vidya says, "On route," I say leaving the club.

A white light shines above me, I look ahead, and I see a boy sitting in front of me. Black hair, and hazel eyes. He's wearing a surgical gown, no more than seven years old, the steel table in front of him is at the height of his collarbone. The cold makes him shiver so slightly, and his lips are dry from dehydration. Behind him appears a woman, mid-forties, with brown hair, and eyes.

She's towering over the boy as she crosses her arms "Welcome to the Peacekeeper's academy, Vessel. This will be your home for the next ten years," the woman says "Peacekeeper?" the boy asks, I flinch, and the woman slaps the boy on his right cheek. His head moves violently to the left, and he barely holds onto his seat. The boy stands up straight again, with his eyes watering

The woman folds her arms once more "You will speak when you are told to, understood!?" the woman asks, I flinch again "Yes," the boy says, the woman slaps him harder on his left cheek, and the boy falls to the ground, onto his right side. She clicks her tongue "Get back to your seat!" the woman yells, the boy quickly sits on the chair again "Show some respect to your superiors or next time you won't get back up, understood!?" the woman asks "Yes, ma'am," the boy says holding back his tears. The woman turns around, and opens the door behind her "Good, you're more adaptable than the rest," she says leaving the room. The door closes, and the boy rests his head on the table to cry.

I open my eyes, and I'm greeted with a steel ceiling "Finally," I say sitting on the right side of my bed. I look straight ahead at the door of the container I'm in, and I stand. The door slowly opens, and I walk towards it "Did you sleep well, Sicarius?" Vidya says smiling. She curled her black hair, her outfit of blue jeans, and red top remains the same "I slept," I say moving closer to her, she's wearing a cobalt necklace, it has a nice contrast with her darker skin tone.

She twirls her eyes "Same as usual, it wouldn't kill you to open up a bit," Vidya says, I stop next to her, and our eyes meet "Emotions lead to weakness, which will get me killed," I say, she closes the door behind her, and rests her hands gently on my cheeks "No one will know, Theran. Now tell me, why do you look so pale?" Amy asks, we have two minutes before the guards suspect something. I grab her hands "I'm fine, it was just a dream of the past," I say.
