(Name) and Tooth arrive at the Palace. She never seen Pitch's power since she wasn't involved with him other than occasionally seeing him pass by.
"They're capturing them!" Tooth says as she tries to guide them away from the nightmares.
(Name) summons her scythe to cut them up but they just pass through. They darkness, same as what her weapon is made of. "Bad news, Tooth, I can't cause them any harm!" She doesn't even know why she's here. Maybe it's because the girl has nothing but be kind to her.
"Oh no, oh no, oh no." Tooth says as darkness cover the place. She can't even see clearly. They're too fast.
"Tooth!" (Name) pulls the girl out of the way before a nightmare can hit her. "Focus!"
"I can't! It's too loud!" Screams of the mini-fairies and nightmares alike are mixed up. She isn't used to this. No one told her to prepare for this.
"So weak..." Pitch says as he approaches them. "Haven't I told you, this wasn't the last you've seen of me."
(Name) grips her scythe and prepares to attack him. She charges while dodging the nightmares around her from left to right. She finally reaches him, raising her weapon.
Suddenly, he disappears and reappears behind her and uses his shadow attack her.
(Name) isn't used to combat, she's a pacifist type of spirit so naturally, she isn't this prepared. Before Pitch can land a hit on her, Tooth comes flying in destroying the nightmares as she go.
"Don't fight him on your own!" Tooth scolds her.
"Is that all you can do? You're too young and inexperienced, join me and I will show you your real power." Pitch tells (Name). She could be a valuable asset if he can only have her. He have witnessed the power of her predecessor and if he can just harness her darkness, he would be unstoppable.
(Name) and Tooth fight back to back, trying to fight back the nightmares. The fairies and tooth are gone and the only thing they can do is protect themselves.
"We are one in the same coin, little darkling. We are both made from darkness, feared by many... they don't care about you!" Pitch can feel it, the longer he stays near her, the powerful he becomes.
"You're just repeating yourself all over again!" (Name) cuts up the nightmares that's running towards them. "I just taught the other spirits I've met not to get involved with someone like you. No way I'm gonna turn into a hypocrite."
So that's why Pitch couldn't recruit any of them. He tried earlier but they'd either run away from him or simply ignore him. "Enough of this!" He creates armies of nightmares, he'll make sure to force them to surrender.
The girls are stuck and the others still haven't arrive.
"Alright, how about this then." Pitch commands his nightmares to capture Tooth which wasn't hard considering that they're surrounded. No where to fly or to run to. "Surrender or I'll pluck this little fairy's wings one by one."
Tooth is panicking in the inside but she just continues to struggle out of the black sand while glaring at him.
"You can't do that!" (Name) yells, dodging the creatures that are trying to capture her. Normally, she wouldn't care but that's her friend! It's rare to have one of the kid friendly guardians to be that kind to her.
"Watch me."
"Ahhhh!" The fairy screams as she feels her wings getting pulled. "No don't do it (Name)! I'm a guardian and it's my duty to protect every child and that includes you!"
"I'm not a child Tooth!"
"I'm still older than you!"
"I'm sorry but I'd rather die than you." (Name) says as her scythe disappears. "Alright Pitch, you win!"
